Good chapter. I really don't know what else to say. I like how sSnape is in character but not heartless.
Author's Response: I've gotten mixed reviews on how In Character he is but I've tried to make him pretty close. I don't see him being completely heartless. I love Snape.
this sounds like its gonna be a great story, having dudley help was quite unusual

Dudley is turning out to be a real great "big brother" and Sev strangely seems to like him. I noted that Sev says that he will take Harry to a hospital and then he will have to find Albus but will it not be dangerous for Harry to be at a public (wizard) hospital where anyone could get him unless Poppy is there during the summer. But it might be good so they could officially document all the abuse that Harry has suffered. Anyway I guess I will find out next chapter.
As a muggle born it should be no problem for Sev to take care of Dudley and it will be no different than a wizarding family who has a squib (which Dudley might be) and since Dudley also goes to a boarding school it should not be a problem when schools starts back. However Sev should get people like Mad Eye or Kingsley (aurors they trust) to arrest Vernon and Petunia and charge them otherwise Sev could be arrested for kidnapping Dudley.

You bring up points which I hadn't necessarily thought of yet... and some that I had thought of, but I hadn't worried about as much. I appreciate it. Your advice makes it so that I will look at the story from all angles and make sure to address everything. The thing you mentioned about St Mungo's is a good thing to note- I had forgotten about the dangers, but one guy was killed by Devil's Snare at St. Mungo's, so I guess it's not completely out of the question. Thank you for reading, for reviewing, and especially for your thoughts. I do a lot of writing but until I discovered fanfiction nobody ever read my stuff so it was hard to improve. :))

Thank you so much for updating! I can't believe Severus is taking in Dudley as well! What's going to happen during the school year? Dudley's going to have an interestin time in Severus's house as there is more discipline there than he's use to. He's also going to have to get use to magic.
I can't wait for the next update and holding on to your word that it'll be in the next week!

Another great chapter! Severus was wonderful with Harry, and it should be really interesting with Dudley along for the ride too!
Author's Response: Even the old bat has a hard time being cruel in such a situation... Don't expect every chapter to be full of fluff, none of our three characters have a great deal of patience, injuries aside.. But such is life, right?
Thanks for the update :D You did a great job on this chapter; I really liked the way Snape let Dudley help him out a bit, and the fact that we'll get to see more of Dudley XD
Author's Response: I wasn't sure how I was going to play Dudley out- I usually let my writing take off and see where it gets me. In such cases, reviewers have a lot of pull, which is why I always ask people to give me their feedback. Everyone seemed to like Dudley,which I worried over since I've never written his character before and since I kind of made him OOC... but anyway, people seemed to like him and think he added to the story so I decided to pull him along for the ride. It should be interesting.
