Reviews For Where Shadows Go
Author's Response: Rome, Venice, and Florence are my favorite cities in Italy and I would go see them over and over. It's well worth it! Back when I went, Italy was still using liras, however, so things were a lot cheaper, since the exchange rate for liras to dollars was something like 1 lira= 5 dollars. Now with the Euro, it's a lot more expensive. But that's progress for you. Sev is going to have quite the encounter with Dudley, and so will Harry! Sev does hate spoiled brats, so he won't get on with Dudley at all.
Author's Response: Yeah, I'm a sucker for romance like that! And it's true, she really did change his life!
Author's Response: They will, but they won't linger. You'll see why next chapter!
I remember that scene where Lily finds out Sev's secret from one of your other stories. Once again, I'm really glad Sev knows how much Lily loves him and that she accepts him. Brilliant chapter, as always, can't wait to read the next! Though, I'm somewhat dreading the encounter with the dastardly Dursleys. It should prove to be interesting... Author's Response: Italy is incredible! My poor words can't do it justice. Someday I want to go back there. That scene was in Never Again, and I borrowed part of it to weave into this chapter, becuase it was so crucial to their relationship, when Sev actually trusted Lily with his shameful (in his opinion) secret and learned that she would still love him no matter what.
The Dursleys will prove very interesting...not to mention nasty!
Author's Response: Aww, it's good to cry every once in awhile.
I love this insight into Snape's childhood Snapegirl, and the way you have given us insight into the reason that he behaves as he does--reserved and holding his emtions close to his chest. Author's Response: It really is awful, the way Sev's childhood has damaged him, but then, that is one of his major problems in this series, the scars that abuse leaves upon his soul and his psyche. All those things have shaped him into the man he became and yet, Lily can still heal him, because she loves him so much and he loves her. There might not be any flashy battles in this series, but then again that's really not what this universe is about--it's all about relationships and forging a life despite the old wounds of the past. Thanks, as always for reviewing! |
