Reviews For Where Shadows Go
Author's Response: This story was very hard for me to write, I don't usually write tragedy and I can't stand sad endings. But this one had to be written this way and I used a lot of my own experiences when my best friend died of ovarian cancer last year as the basis for Lily's struggle with lupus. I also had a friend in college whose mother died of lupus and I asked for her input as well. I try and use real life situations as emotional impetus for my stories, that's probably why they seem so real. But this story, especially the end chapters, was very difficult to write, I kept having to stop and get tissues to wipe my eyes and it took me a long time to get up the nerve to write the final chapters. But I felt that Lily and Sev's story needed to be told, and so I did it. I'm glad you like it, though it may be the only one of it's kind I write for a long time.
Author's Response: Something that's not very good at all.
Author's Response: Uh, you'll see what the results are next chapter, if I answer the question it'll spoil the end of the next chapter.
Author's Response: The tests . . .you'll see the results next chapter. Sev is a brilliant healer.
Author's Response: Yes, he is! The next chapter's up, BTW!
And I wanted to tell you, your fire chapter brought back memories of my daughter nearly setting the house on fire when she decided to sneak out on our porch - which had a blazing BBQ going on it - and sweep the porch. She got very enthusiastic in her sweeping (She was 3 at the time) and managed to light the broom from the BBQ. I turn around and find her in the process of tossing the burning broom into a stand of bushes! EEEEEEKKK. I rush out with a pitcher of water and douse the broom (Which has essentially melted)and of course the little minx is looking at me as if I've lost my mind! What a day that was! Author's Response: Yes, this has been coming for awhile. Lord, your daughter ought to meet my nephew. He set his basement on fire when he was six, playing with a space heater. I think more kids probably hurt themselves by playing with fire than anything else. My next chapter is up, you can see Harry acting like the brat of the century and also Lily's blood test results.
Author's Response: Uh . . .you do know it gets worse? The last four or five chapters are going to be full of warnings for Kleenex and stuff. Sev and Harry will be quite upset and since this is the prequel, poor Lily does have to die. But if I ever made an AU of this fic, perhaps she could live, if a miracle occurred.
I liked the chapter - as always. What more to say...? -grin- Looking forward to the next chapter. Thank you. Author's Response: Yes it is. REALLY sad. I can hardly bear to write it. And you can see the next chapter right now.
Loved the scene with the bread too1 Update soon, i think the next chapter's gonna be a doozy. Author's Response: Thanks, i wanted him to do something different from the ordinary. The bread-making is something I do a lot. I've just updated FYI.
Author's Response: hahaha! *here's a piece of virtual bread, LOL! I've just updated thanks for reviewing. |
