Ok, I was stupid, I decided to go and read the other comments and just ruined the story for myself. I haven't read the sequel so I didn't know Lily died.

I'm going to ignore commenting on the lupis and just ask how Harry played Bagheera and Kaa when Kaa wrapped up Bagheera?

OMG!!! How can that happen!!! Though I guess because she's muggle born it's possible for her to get muggle deaseises (I don't think I've spelt that right), but after they wanted another child and everything!!!! It was very well written, like all of your chapters, but it really does make me sad!!!!

Author's Response: I know, it's really sad, but even wizards can get diseases and not just magical ones either.  It's like how we can sometimes catch animal diseases from sick animals, like the swine flu.  It's rare but it CAN happen.  Poor Lily.  Unfortunately, lupus is really hard for even magic to cure.

I finally caught up to this chapter and God , but it was sad. I was almost crying. I wish Lily didn't have to die!

Author's Response: Believe me, so do I1 I really hate writing sad fics like this.  But this is the prequel, and so . . .

yes...very bitter sweet.....i know this is gonna be a sad story...but damn to loose to this sort of disease

Author's Response: I know and it's very difficult to write when I already know it's going to end so sadly.

Great chapter, though it's heartbreaking to see Sev like that, trying to bear his burdens alone. I'll definitely check out your other fic too!

Author's Response: Thanks, hope you like it too!

Aww, such a great yet sad chapter. I nearly cried--again! It's going to be hell on Sev telling Lily.

Author's Response: Yes, it will, but she has to know, hard as it is.

Such a sad chapter, and yet I loved the kids playing and the bit with harry at the end. I don't envy Sev his conversation, it's gonna be heartbreaking.

Author's Response: Yes it will be, poor guy.

Well done, mate! I don't envy Sev those conversations: having to explain why she can't have his children, why she's been feeling so tired, telling her parents. Ick.

My SIL has lupus and, due to the drugs she's had to take over the last 30 years, I've watched her go from a size 1 to a 26. Steroids are the pits, and it is only a stop-gap not a cure. She is already having memory problems from the brain lesions.

    Author's Response:

    Yes, tell me about it.

That's rough, my friend's mom had lupus way back over ten years ago and she died from it, I think it was congestive heart failure or something that finally killed her.  She never got to see my friend graduate college--so sad! Hope your SIL gets a better, maybe they'll invent a new medicine or something. :)
