Reviews For Where Shadows Go
Author's Response: Please, usually when I post those warnings, I'm really serious, usually because what I'm writing is affecting me as much as my readers.
I'm speechless. Lily did not die as I predicted but death's a comin' for her. I love her so much! And ::grins shakily:: you made me cry! ::whimpers:: Ooh Harry! Darling, no matter what you're mother loves you and so to does your father! My guess is that next chapter Lily slips away. You cannot deny the inevitable - just prolong it. All my love, Jewels. Author's Response: God, how true and the next part will be very sad, but necessary.
Author's Response: yes it will! But thanks for sticking with it.
Author's Response: Thanks Jen! The next chapter's up, and hope you'll like the finale.
Author's Response: yes, that would be a good idea, they do eventually get to have a happy ending. I loved writing the shopping part it was so funny, reminded me of me and my sisters.
Author's Response: Thanks, glad you liked it!
harry is priceless! i know what will come next....and it makes me sad. happy thanksgiving! Author's Response: Same to you! Enjoy your turkey! Those moments with Harry make writing this more bearable.
Happy Thanksgiving! Author's Response: Happy Thanksgiving too, if you celebrate it. Lily is, even at the last, a sweet and generous woman, who loves others more than herself. But God, this was difficult to write.
Okay – on with the ‘review.’ I did quite well until Lily said, "... the Angel of Death has written my name in his book ..." And then Healer Morgan's words were even harder to read. Thanks for the little chuckle about Sev staying up all night to assemble the dragon flyer swing. That little respite was sorely needed. I can just imagine him assembling the thing. You got me again with the spell Lily worked into the panther, and made me even more thankful for that little scene with Sev and the swing. Sev's thoughts when Lily hugged Harry sent me scrambling for more Kleenex. Mercy.! I give you major kudos for being able to write this chapter. I sure couldn't have done it. Well done, indeed. Looking forward to the next chapter -- with much trepidation and a box of Kleenex. Thank you. Author's Response: I forget exactly what happened when she smelled it, i think the alcoholic content made her pass out, she breathed it in while she was fixing her hair over one of those old light up make-up mirrors. Maybe it was like sniffing bleach and ammonia?? I still don't know how I managed to write these last chapters. I was crying half the time and could barely see the blasted keyboard! Oh, and you're gonna need the Kleenex!
The chapter was excellent - very well done. I felt so sorry for poor little Harry when Lily collapsed on the kitchen floor. I imagine that that was quite terrifying for such a young child. Moving along to the next chapter. Thank you. Author's Response: So did I, and that part was based on a real life moment that happened to my brother when he was little and found my sister passed out on the floor, she'd knocked herself out by breathing in Sea Breeze while washing her face. Luckily, my mother was home and took control of things. But my brother was quite terrified, he was only six and my sister was around thirteen. Good thing my sister was fine when she woke up. |
