Reviews For Where Shadows Go
Author's Response: Thanks, and I hope you'll like them just as well. The next few are short fic pieces illustrating Harry's fifth year and then you'll come to the next large novel, Never Again.
Author's Response: Yes and thanks so much for reading and reviewing. I don't generally enjoy making my characters suffer, there's too much of that going on in real life for me to want to write pages and pages of it, which is why I try to liven up the sad parts with some humor. This was especially moving since I had recently had three relatives die in a two month period, so death and sadness were very much on my mind. perhaps that was how I managed to write this so convincingly. i don't know, except I tend to draw a lot on my own experiences when I write.
Author's Response: Thanks, though I'm lucky enough to have not had that painful experience yet. Again, thanks for reading, hope I didn't make you depressed.
I love your story. V. Author's Response: Thank you! I felt ripped to pieces as well, though I cry at every sad movie, I'm such a sap! Check out my newest story set in this universe, Harry Potter Dogsitter, it'll make you smile.
I would love to read a sequel to 'Some Good Guys Wear Black.' I really enjoyed Gavin and Snape as a Spymaster. I'd also like to read a story about Lily, Severus, and the Marauders when they were young set in this Never Again universe. It sounds like they were friends and that would be an interesting story seeing how their school years would be if Severus was friends with the Marauders. Just some ideas. Author's Response: I have written a sequel to Good Guys, but couldn't post it here since it doesn't have Harry in it, it focuses strictly on Gavin and Sev. Your idea about young Lily, Sev, and the Marauders is an excellent one and I may just do that eventually, when I've worked a bit on some of my other series. And in the meantime, there's Harry Potter Dogsitter to read, that's a funny story and not at all sad. Thanks for reading and reviewing, you're awesome!
:( So sad! But very well done Snapegirl! Author's Response: Thanks, this was a very difficult ending for me to write, one of the most tragic, i think I have only one other of my original works that equals the emotional tragedy of this one. I feel very tired now and need a good dose of hot chocolate and to watch a funny movie.
::quietly:: There was no Harry. A very bittersweet chapter with Severus and Lily together, her final moments. I'm not crying this time although the chapter was very beautifull written. How will Harry react to his mother's death? Beautiful story, Kathy. Very, very touching. All my love, Jewels. Author's Response: You'll see Harry's reaction as well as Severus's in the next chapter. I have to admit, this was the saddest story I have ever written. But the next chapter will be both hopeful and sad, and you can read it now!
djii, I nearly hate Alaina now too, for taking Lily's place. Lily and Sev were meant forever, you are sooo mean ! OK, I'll go cry some more before you post the next chapter, grr, I knew from the start that I should never have read that story ;-) Author's Response: yes, this was a very tragic story, probably the most tragic I'll ever write, I think. I didn't enjoy Lily's death at all, but since the original story featured Sev as a single parent, had to since Tobias got custody of Harry, Lily was always fated to die. But it was the act of loving her and then losing her that made severus trust enough to love Alaina in GP, and you shouldn't resent her for she needed Sev as much as he needed her, and at least Sev finally gets a happy ending there. Lily was actually kind of lucky, to have known the love of two decent men, that's so rare that I wonder if it ever happens in real life. I'm sorry about your dad, it seems a lot of people who read that last chapter had lost people they loved, and I didn't realize that the scene would make people feel so strongly, I haven't written many scenes like that before. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. Thanks for reviewing and please don't hate me too much! I normally write happy stuff.
Author's Response: That was in my mind as I was writing, my mom always said if she was going to go, she'd pray it be in her sleep and without any pain, not suffering from canacer or whatever. I have to say i agree. Make it quick, if at all possible. Hope you like the final chapter, it's posted now!
Author's Response: it will, once he's coherent enough to realize it. A peaceful death is always a blessing. You can read about it now, I just posted it. |
