Reviews For Repairing the Damage
I can't believe Dumbledore wants to send Harry back to his relatives, and that Snape is protecting Harry like that. Great chappie again, on to the next. I'm really enjoying this story!
Severus is also right to tell Harry the truth about James. No one is perfect and James certainly was not. Though it's common to idolize a dead hero and forget about the mistakes he made in life, Harry should also know that his father was a bully to Severus. If he knew that, maybe he would understand where Severus was coming from with his resentment. Author's Response: Yes... I think so too :) I must admit that I'm quite enjoying my portrayal of Dumbledore. I think the way he's acting is infuriating, but Snape's responses to his actions are certainly entertaining. And I thought that Severus was right to tell Harry the truth about James as well :)
Great chapter! I hope to see an update soon. Author's Response: Thanks :)
Author's Response: Yes, you will see what Hermione and Ron's reactions are. However, I'm not sure whether that will be in the next chapter or in a few more. But you will definitely see them eventually. Harry will learn very soon about Dumbledore's insistence that he returns to his relatives. I'm pretty sure he'd be angry about that but I haven't entirely made up my mind yet. I apologise for spoiling little bits and pieces of the next few chapters for you. But I tend to try to answer questions as much as I can so there you have it. Thanks a lot for your review! :)
Author's Response: Thanks a lot! :)
Author's Response: Oh, I'm well aware of that. I'm not saying that I think being abused makes you stronger (I know it doesn't actually, I speak from experience). I put that line in there to make a point. The point I was trying to make was in relation to just how far Dumbledore will go for the "war effort"... and that while he has good intentions, he doesn't always do the best for those who cares about (like Harry). Thanks for your review!
Author's Response: Thanks!
Author's Response: Oh, that's alright. Don't worry about it. :)
I like that Snape assured Harry that although his father had been a bully, that he had changed and became a good man later. That was really decent of him considering how Snape had been tormented by James. I'm looking forward to your next chapter! ;) Author's Response: Thanks a lot for your review! :) And I will try to write and post the next chapter within the next few days but I can't make any promises... I'm sure you know how crazy and busy life can get sometimes.
Why is Albus being so stubborn? Maybe if he did send an owl to the Dursleys and it never returned or came back injured, he'd get a clue. Author's Response: Albus is in denial. He wants to believe that the Dursleys do care a little about Harry. While this is true for Petunia and for Dudley too, it's definitely not for Vernon. He thinks that they *have* to care because he's family.... but they really don't. Another reason for his denial is that he doesn't want to believe he was completely mistaken in leaving Harry with the Dursleys. He doesn't want to admit this to himself or others. He'll get a clue at some point though. I'm sure Severus will force him to do so eventually, haha. Anyway, thanks a lot for the review! |
