Wonderful story!! Both serious and fun - and I love the way you have managed to explain the father/son-situation and the early inclusion of Draco. It is not too sweet and not too harsh. It is, i.o.w spot on.
Nice! I'm looking forward to the next update. This was a sad chapter though.

You did and I am curious about the poem inside the journal, as I've worked with several abused children in real life, girls as I am an OB. I think the journal technique works very well and you handled the scenes very tastefully. I like how you have the two boys getting along, there's nothing like a shared trauma to bring two people together.
Author's Response: The poem will show up a few chapters down the road. One hint - it was the inspiration for the title of my fic.

Right, very good on callingout Dumbledore. I am not sure they should stay, but, I guess the storyline calls for it.
