Reviews For Arms of a Dark Angel
Author's Response: Thank you! You're the first reviewer to notice that and appreciate it. Some others thought my doing that was strange or not IC, but I disagree. My father who has lived here in the US longer than he ever did in Italy, still speaks with some of his Italian accent, since English was his second language. My neighbor, who hailed from Scotland, and came here as an adult and has lived here over 20 years, still speaks with a Scottish burr on occasion. Both of them have much more pronounced accents when they get excited or angry, it's like they revert back to their original manner of speaking. I figured if Lucy could do that, then so should Minerva.
Author's Response: Yeah, Sev never takes care of himself, so Min thinks he needs her to do it for him. She's right, though!
"Are ye gonna behave and come wi' me then, laddie?" she demanded sternly. I was laughing myself silly over that. Author's Response: When I wrote that, all I could see was Minerva dragging Severus down the hall, lecturing him a mile a minute, just like a mother with a misbehaving son! I swear, my family thinks I'm possessed or something, LOL! But I have alot of fun putting Severus in that position with Minerva, who I think is very like a stern matriarch. But she also likes and admires him as well, and he knows that, even if he won't admit it.
Author's Response: They did, which is why I don't let them in this version. Glad you liked Severus and Minerva's conversation.
Author's Response: Wasn't it though? because even Sev needs a helping hand every now and then.
Author's Response: Thanks, I liked writing about the troll fight and altering it to show off Harry's new skill with Summoning Charms.
Author's Response: Ah, so that's where you went! I had wondered. I'm leaving for my own holiday soon. Hope you had fun! This is a slightly different story than my other ones and I hope you enjoy it just as much!
Now you made references to both a bird of prey and a panther. So... which is it for his Animagus form? And ::smiles superiorily:: you never mentioned whether or not Snape was a vampire! ::grins and nods:: That obviously means that he is. Ha! Poor Harry, always getting picked on and Hermione! My heart just broke for the little girl. I know what it's like to be picked on and if I were there... oh those little brats would certainly remember the day they messed with me. Hermione is such a sweet girl and I hate that she ends up with Ron in Deathly Hallows. By the way - are you going to write all of Harry's years with Severus as his Guardian Angel? If you do, write an alternate sixth and seventh year and make sure Ginny doesn't date him and Hermione doesn't go out with Ron. Why don't you put the two of them together, hmm? ::sighs:: Update soon, my favourite authoress of all time! I am eagerly looking forward to your revealing of Snape's Anigmaus form and the baring of his fangs. ::winks:: Love, Jewels. - Breaking Dawn is in the works! I'm revising the first three chapters so there are no mistakes whatsoever. Chapter 4 should - hopefully is more like it - be up before school starts. ::waggles fingers:: Byebye! Author's Response: You'll find out what his Animagus form is in . . ..hmmm, maybe five chapters I guess. I'm going to reveal it during the Forbidden Forest escapade. Until then, just keep guessing....*chuckles* As for Snape being a vampire, well that's what they all think he is! But what is true and what it appears are two different things. I too felt sorry for Hermione when I wrote this, because I was also the outcast nerd during my school days, and I had glasses when nobody else did and was tormented unmercifully like Severus was by a gang of bullies. Luckily I had my older brother and cousins to come and help me and knock all those horrible brats on their asses. Hermione & Harry, now there's an interesting pairing! I could do that one, yeah. Thanks for you review, hon, as always!
Author's Response: he would definitely do that! That's what he wants to do, deep down, and it's killing him that he can't, another reason why he's probably very grouchy. |
