Author's Response: Thanks and I will be writing more, of course.

That detention was definitely, um... memorable. I really liked seeing the quidditch game through Severus' eyes. And the way he expressed his worry and affection to Harry after the detention was so touching. I'm definitely looking forward to the continuation of this story.

Author's Response: As Severus meant it to be.  he's awfully clever, isn't he? *smirks* I had always wanted to do that Quidditich match through his eyes, because he was so intense, and I thought, wow, what must he be feeling? And then he told me, LOL!  And harry shouldn't doubt now that Severus cares very much for him.

another fabulous story! i was looking for another one to read after i finished heir to prince manor and thought this one looked like my type, i was right and love the storyline, snape is just so lovely when its just him and harry, especially when harry is sick or injured :) im looking forward to more

Author's Response: Yes he is and there will be more opportunities for him to nurse Harry back to health and protect him.  But I won't spoil the surprise.

Yuk, what a detention!! But they deserve it!!

I really prefer this kind of punishment to harsher punshments like cp or washing their mouths out with soap.

I think that writing the essay was a brilliant idea too! It will really make them think twice before putting their lives in danger, because they will realize that their deaths will be mourned by their families, or in Harry's case, his Dark Angel.

Really beautiful chapter, well written. I'm so glad that you are not going to put in cp in this story. I love your writing and I will read your stories regardless, but I really prefer stories without that. I feel there are other methods that are more effective to get the point across, especially for older children (just my opinion). Like I said though, I really enjoy your stories and I will still to continue to read any stories that you write whether they have cp or not.

    Author's Response:

Actually, so do I.  The CP warning in Heir was put there at a reviewer's request, but I didn't think it really needed one.  If I write a sequel to Heir, it won't have any Cp in it, for they will be too old for it and won't be fighting with each other. Any CP I have in my Never Again series is very mild, not really descriptive, and mostly done to illustrate the differences between abuse and discipline.  Plus, in NA, Harry is a little kid and does warrant an occasional spanking, but it is mild, nothing with switches, belts, rulers, or hairbrushes, just a couple of swats plus a long hug afterwards.

Angel is totally different, and Severus will never go beyond a swat or two.  Instead he gets very creative and makes Harry see the error of his ways in a variety of ways, non-abusive of course.  Please keep reading, I have many more surprises up my sleeve for this story.

You continue to astonish me with your writing skill, Snapegirl. The imagery and dialogue simply LEAP off the page!

Author's Response: Thanks a lot! I try to feel what my characters feel when I write them and sometimes I almost become them.  Hope that doesn't sound too weird.

I absolutely loved this chapter. I think this is the first time Severus visibly acted like a father towards Harry. And the detention part was very well written. I also enjoyed the motherly affection Minerva showed Sev. I hope that more of it will be shown in the future chapters.

Author's Response: It is, because he's finally admitting to himself that he loves the kid.  And Minerva has always had a soft spot for motherless Sev, and has also realized that his facade of "I don't need anyone" is mostly bluff and so she'll continue to mother him and ignore the grumbling.

    Loved the detention!

Author's Response: Thanks! It was kind of hard coming up with something that's never been done before.
