Reviews For Arms of a Dark Angel
Am so happy that Harry could walk with pride in his new clothes I just hope that he does not let it go to his head...as it obviously is for Ron, while it is good to be able to get back at Malfoy once in a while (just hope Ron does not get too jealous of Harry getting these expensive things). While I usually agree with your punishments and while I would normally agree with Harry receiving time outs as someone who was into sports it is very difficult to have a twenty minute time out after heavy training and then to start back running again your body would have cooled down, though I guess those Harry’s age just seem to more excess energy. I must say however that the best cure for sore muscles is to stretch them out and to exercise them out, so good call on that one. Enjoy your vacation Author's Response: My brother used to run laps and stuff in football, so he told me how the coaches used to punish a player for getting snotty with them, so I used that, plus Sev's time out and Harry does have plenty of energy to spare, believe me. Actually, Harry did tell Ron that he baked the gingerbread himself, but not Sev just then. Though he will mention it later. And Ron will never miss an opportunity to snipe at Malfoy, and vice versa. Have no fear that Harry will become arrogant, he knows better. I'm so excited that I finally have an internet connection! I've just posted a new chapter of Angel.
But you had them Apparating directly from the infirmary to St. Mungo's which isn't possible with the wards. You should've had them floo OR actually leaving Hogwarts before apparating. Don't mean to nitpick, just be mindful of your story details. Update soon. Author's Response: Oh, you're right, don't know what I was thinking. Thanks for the tip and I'll go fix it. Glad you're enjoying this!
I am so happy for Harry; what a lovely christmas present! I almost had tears in my eyes when Harry cried tears of joy! I expect an update the minute you get back! Just kidding again! Can't wait for the next chapter when you're nice and rested! Author's Response: I'm rested and have just posted another chapter, by the way, though I'm still in PA. I write even when I'm on vacation, LOL! And I loved writing this chapter, I wanted it to be very moving, since Harry never got a real Christmas before.
one thing, it is spelled "buddhist" not "bhuddist" Author's Response: I wish I could have it. thanks for catching that typo too, it's hard to proofread your own work sometimes.
::grins:: You sly Slytherin! I loved the gift Severus gave Harry - /I/ nearly had tears of my own. That poor child has been through so much. The idea of Severus looking after him, and loving him, means so much. And ::squeals:: at last, AT LAST, he's acknowledged Harry as his son even if he's using an alias. If you do continue this story, my dearest Snapegirl, please, /please/, don't write a Harry/Ginny fic. I've said it before and I'm saying it again - I really, REALLY, hate the redhead. ::grins and winks:: I'm trying to gather the nerve to read Good Guys Wear Black, I swear! As for you original complete story - do you really need to ask? My answer: HELL YES! ::grin widens:: I can't wait to work you, my dear! So, have a wonderful trip. ::waves like a maniac, sniffling tearfully:: I'll miss you! ::winks:: All my love, Jewels. Author's Response: I'm glad you like Sev's alias *winks* And I wanted to give harry a really meaningful gift, something he could appreciate forever! And thus the eye surgery. I might do an alternate pairing here, maybe with Hermione, but not for quite some time. Do read Good Guys, it's very entertaining and has a different take on the hated red-head. I'll send you Seventh Daughter when I'm home. I'm working off a laptop now! Bye!
Author's Response: Thanks and I've just posted by the way!
How is this all going to play out when he has to return to the Dursleys. They aren't going to be happy with the now clear sighted Harry. Also, wouldn't most of his friends notice Harry skipping out every night to train? It does seem as if they do a lot of training, which is good for the body. But Harry is a little boy who needs quiet time with Uncle Toby, just reading or talking and having biscuits (as an American, it is hard to call cookies "biscuits".) Author's Response: Yeah, I'm one of those no surgery would work on, unfortunately. As for when harry returns to the Dursleys, we'll have to see about that one. maybe he could fake needing his glasses and wear a false pair? With all of the homework and studying they've had, Hermione and Ron weren't paying all that much attention to where Harry was going, he kept making up different reasons why he was leaving, but eventually Severus will slow the sessions down, with the new term and all, so harry won't be having them as frequently. And there will be more times over the course of the year when Harry will seek out Sev just to talk or whatever. And I'm an American too, and I kept writing gingerbread cookies as I wrote this, LOL! |
