Reviews For Arms of a Dark Angel
Author's Response: Thank you, I try and make them seem as real as possible and I love the way Minerva mother's Sev, it's so funny! Ron did need sense knocked into him and you can read the next part now.
Author's Response: Actually, it kind of makes sense, since in Greek mythology, serpents were known to be wise and had great knowledge of healing and whispered those secrets into the ears of priestesses and doctors, which is why a snake is on a doctor's caduceus. The ancient Greeks revered the snake as a wise counselor and did not think they were evil, the temples often kept large pythons as pets of the priests and priestesses and thought they were sacred. So I figured Slytherin was a good choice for Pomfrey.
Author's Response: Your review warms MY soul, thanks for it! I like Minerva the Wise Mother too! heaven knows Sev and Harry could both use one!
Author's Response: True, but Ron does have a blind spot where Snape is concerned here, he bears a typical prejudice of Slytherins learned from his brothers and other Gryffindors, and his fear for Harry's life makes him act impulsively, without thinking things through. He's not using his head yet, and Snape wears his mask very well, and is convincing enough to fool Voldemort, much less an eleven-year-old. It's easy to cast Snape as the bad guy, if Harry didn't know better, he would think Snape hated him too, based on how Sev treated him in class. Ron isn't dumb, he's just seeing Snape the way Snape wants him to, in the book it took them to the very end to realize it was Quirrell and not Snape who was the villain. I'm following JKR's plot line here, for much of this.
Author's Response: It will be revealed shortly, I'll be posting it in another five minutes. And Severus really needs somebody like Minerva to look out for him, he knows it but won't ever admit it.
I loved the interaction between Severus and Minerva. But then... I've always thought Minerva would be just as protective of her lions as Severus would be of his snakes. ::grins:: All right, all right. Go update the next chapter before I hurt you. Love, Jewels. Author's Response: And there will be, my dear. Because the story doesn't end there, as you'll see. It's going to go on past the original book, into the summer, and a good deal more happens then. Wait and see. And Minerva is very protective of her lions and she and Severus make a good team, don't they?
Looking forward to more and hoping that Harry doesn't have to go back to the Dursleys. Author's Response: Yes, they would make a very interesting couple, wouldn't they? More will be coming, never fear!
Author's Response: yes, it had to happen sometime, and Ron needed a good smack upside the head. Eventually, perhaps Sev will clue Minerva in on his little secret and Hagrid also, because he does need help keeping an eye on Harry. Minerva would definitely approve of that relationship.
Author's Response: yeah, Min's great isn't she? She's one of the few that can make Sev do something he doesn't want to. Hermione does have her moments and there will be more interaction between all of them in the next chapter. Thanks for reading!
mcgonnagall sending snape to bed was highly amusing and proves snape respects her, as he did what he was told. ron has finally seen sense thanks to hermione, will we find out what they discussed as i was waiting for that to come up. the rings a great idea to keep harry safe from poisoning and harry never being alone, harry should keep to that, just so severus doesn't get any grey hairs in worrying about harry Author's Response: harry will at least try and keep to Severus's instructions for now. The ring was something I hadn't planned on but then came up with as I was writing. Snape does respect McGonagall very highly, which is why he listens to her. And the accomplice....may or may not be who you think. But you can find out right now, since the next chapter is posted. |
