Reviews For Arms of a Dark Angel
as for the "what could happen in 3 days"... I swear I heard a "DUN dun dunnnn" when I read that... :D Author's Response: You did indeed! Something very unpleasant happens to him as you'll find out.
Author's Response: They do and poor Harry will find that out! But Sev will have his revenge, trust me!
Author's Response: I figured you could play the music figuratively, LOL! And I will be continuing this fic through the summer up to the time Dobby appears.
Author's Response: Quite a lot, actually. :) Sev is harsh, though fair, since Harry did deserve to be punished for disobeying him and breaking his word and nearly getting himself killed. Now his son will at least think twice before flinging himself into danger first.
And Harry you shou;d know better than to ask 'Besides, what could happen in three days?' That is always a guarantee that something horrible will happen! Excellent job as always. And don't you wish you could pet a real snow leopard? They are my favourite big cat so it's perfect that my favourite Potions Master should have one as his animagus form. Cheers! Author's Response: You're right, of course! Something bad does happen. I do wish i could pet a real snow leopard. I stroked a real Florida panther once though. She was very soft and sleeping. I always think of Sev as a large cat, silent and deadly when roused.
Could you imagine the letter home to the Grangers - "your daughter was out after hours, snuck into a room with a three headed dog, survived a live chess set and helped a schoolmate (also 11 years old) face a serial killer - the school is just so proud of her." The Grangers would have jerked her out of the school faster than you can say Beaubaton. You know, I think that it was in the first book that I realized that I didn't like Dumbledore. It was absolutely horrid to give extra points to three students who so disobeyed just in order for them to bypass all the other houses and give them the House Cup. So looking forward to more and I imagine those three days with the Dursley is not going to go well. Author's Response: Ron will be punished by his parents when he gets home, most likely, since Percy will feel duty bound to tell them about what happened. As for Hermione's parents, you're exactly right, they would pull her right out of there if they ever realized what Dumbldore allowed to go on there. I mean, they're supposed to be Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry not Hogwarts School for Young Heroes. I agree with you totally about the House cup, which was I took the opportunity to change it in my fic. I also felt it was hypocritical for JKR to say that all the Houses needed to get along and work together yet she never gave Harry any Slytherin friends or showed that any Slytherins were good people and had them join the DA or assist Harry and stand up against Voldemort. That's going to change in my books though.
I loved the bitin the Great Hall - go Harry! When I first rad this scene in canon back in '97 I was so incensed for the Slytherins and always felt that Snape's true hatred of Harry really took off from that point. The kid had stolen his cup! Before that, I think he just looked at Harry as another annoyance that had to be tolerated. Great Chapter! Author's Response: I saw soap being made at a demonstration in a colonial style village once and have read about it, but never tried making it myself. So I'm glad I captured the feeling right, I love handmade soaps, however. People don't realize how much work it is though, which was why I had Sev use it as a punishment. And the squid ink too. I always felt that part at the end was horridly unfair, too, after all the Slytherins had worked hard academically to win all those points and to have their cup snatched out from under their noses by three kids who had broken all the rules and then were rewarded for it was just terrible. Plus, the cup was intended as an academic reward and also for good conduct, and what the three had done had nothing to do with academics or good conduct, just with being heroes. yes, they saved the school, but if Dumbledore wanted to reward them he should have done so privately, not given them points towards the cup. That was just blatant favoritism and you're right, I think that was when Snape started to hate Harry, since he seemed to get away with everything, just like James had. I'm glad you enjoyed my version of events.
i like the twist as i am after all a slytherin... nice to see things are improving! please update soon! Author's Response: Got that right! Poor Harry! I'm a slytherin too, so I felt it was appropriate!
Author's Response: Exactly, and I always thought his actions quite unfair and that was why I altered my story to give the Slytherins their due.
Ooh those dastardly Dursleys! Marge had better take care of Harry or his father will not be happy. ::chuckles darkly:: What about Dobby? Or are you going to make his second year different from the books? 'Cause that's ok too! Update soon, Snapegirl. I love this story with all my heart. Love, Jewels. - Oh, I got your three stories but the sequel to Some Good Guys Wear Black won't load for me. Would you mind sending it to me again cause I can't find it on your Harrypotterfanfiction.com profile. Thanks! Author's Response: Yes and I love you too! *hugs*
marge, take CARE of Harry? Not very likely, but if she hurts him, Snape will cheerfully tear her up and spit her out! Dobby may or may not show up here, I haven't thought that far ahead. But if he does, it won't be till the end of the summer. It's just beginning now.
I'll try and resend you Someone To Wtach Over Me, it's not posted anywhere on the net. |
