Reviews For Arms of a Dark Angel
You have NO idea! The whole thing was fantastic from start to finish. I loved Snape's character! He was amazing in the beginning when he was taking care of Harry and watching over him at Hogwarts (the glasses and the eye surgery were wonderful!) He was amazing when he became Harry's guardian too :) I think the extra mythological things were really, really cool like Harry's Pegasus and the cottage and the woods. A And the animagus were the coolest ever. He was the cutest little leopard and i laughed out loud at his antics. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Author's Response: Thanks so much! I loved making them snow leopards together. They seemed to fit really well.
I also wanted to state that I loved how you mixed religion in with the story of the wizarding world. It was great! Very inventive. I just gotta ask, what religion is Sev? I'm just asking because I've never heard a Protestant when I was living over there refer to Mary in such an honorable way. I don't mean any offense, I'm just a very curious (catholic) girl seeking knowledge. I am also totally jealous that you used the snow leopard as Snape's animagus form. I so wanted to use that if I wrote a story. Can I borrow the idea? I promise I won't take the name. I also loved that you had Harry as a snow leopard cub and Snape's true son in that form. That was utterly cute. Author's Response: Yes, I am considering one. Severus I see as being Catholic, because his robes and outfit remind me of a priest. That white stuck up collar and all. Some people got offended when I made him that way, they said it was inappropriate because of the witch hunts and all, but those things happened long ago and both Catholica and Protestants were invovlved in them. Even so, it's unfair to paint everyone of a certain religion with the same brush. And JKR did say that her wizards believed in God, and since this is my story, I made him a Catholic. Yes, I do love snow leopards and I wanted a powerful, proud, and yet beautiful animal for their Animagus forms. I think the snow leopard fits, because it has both light and dark coloring, which is symbolic of the light and dark in all of us. You may use that Animagus form if you'd like, just credit me with the inspiration. Thanks for reading! If you like Animagus stories, I have another series--Broken Wings with Harry and Severus as hawks and Moon Fire--with Severus as a mystical black stallion and Harry gains an Animagus form too later on.
Favorite images (in no particular order): Four year old Harry cuddled by Severus; Harry right after he turned into Whisper, attempting to pounce on the mouse; Harry flying with Boreal; Severus and Harry laying down the law to Dumbledore about the adoption; Wraith laying next to Harry, both asleep. And a hundred more of the wonderful scenes in this tale. This goes on the re-read list! Rhysylle@gmail.com
