It is good that Sev took care of Harry and that Harry realised that at least one person cared and loved him. That thought would have kept Harry's hopes up and kept him sane being with those awful muggles. I know Sev will continue caring for him and the same way Sev thinks of Harry as a secret son I am sure Harry would look to Sev as a secret Dad

Author's Response: Yes anf God knows he would need something to keep his hopes up while being locked in a cupboard and starved.  And now that Severus's secret is out, Harry will be able to express his gratitude and love towards him.

It's wonderful! I love it. I love how he gradually came to love Harry like a son and how the smells were such a strong reminder of the care he'd had. Lovely!

Author's Response: Thanks and the scent recognition is osmething that I learned about while reading a book on early childhood memories.  Scent and touch are the earliest ways a baby learns to recognise familiar people and places, it's imbedded in our memory, and I figured it would work well here.

Keep going! Keep going! What a wonderful beginning!

Author's Response: Thanks I should have the next part up fairly soon, after I finish the latest chapter of Shadows and Heir.
