Author's Response: Thank you!
Author's Response: I'm glad you like it. It was a little thought experement of mine, but *pokes it with a stick* I don't think I'll ever write a continuation.
Please know, though, that that won't make me dislike your story in of itself. It could be a great plotline, depending on how you handle it! I'm just withholding my judgment until further notice. Author's Response: Oh well, it is a rotten thing to do, but sometimes people who are ordinarily very good people do things that don’t reflect that. Lily feels caught and guilty, but she doesn’t want to tell James. If it’s any consolation, the affair ended soon after that when Lily and James went into hiding. This is the sum total of this story. The story that this is a dry run for has a similar format of being set during one of the novels, backstage, as it were. They are not connected, and that one doesn’t have any adultery in it at all, though it does have James being a bit of a jerk.
Anyway though, I enjoyed both Sirius' and Snape's characterization. I look forward to more if you do decide to make it into a chaptered work. Author's Response: Thanks, I'm really glad you liked it. it was a lot of fun writing Sirius and Snape. It isn't that I intend to expand this into a Severitus (dear god, two affairs at once? How would Lily have kept her sanity?) it's that this was practice for an eventual Severitus fic with a similar format, set during a canon novel and without being AU, "behind the scenes".
Author's Response: Thanks, i'm glad it worked. I hesitated on actually using dialogue from the novels, but I decided I'd have to anyway for the chapter fic I'm going to write.
Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you liked it, and I'm really relieved that it worked. Aside from my stated purpose, it was a bit of an excuse to write Snape and Sirius feud. |
