This was a great little story. I like how harry noticed that something was wrong with Snape and realized he should do something to try and help, that's more than anyone else was willing to do. I think it made perfect sense for Harry to help Severus, because Harry is by nature a compassionate person, that's part of who he is, and despite their past, Harry would never let Severus suffer if he could help it, it's simply not in him.
As for Severus's display of "weakness" everyone has those moments, even the most hardened veteran spy, and it makes Severus seem more human for being that way, not less. The man had been under tremendous stress, anyone would crack over it.
Again, great job. Please post another one.:)
Author's Response: Thank you. Harry is definitely compassionate enough to help even Snape through something like this even if he had to justify it to himself in the oddest ways at first.
I think that's something I can see Severus doing, cracking even a little under all the strain. He hasn't had an easy life at all, and there can't be any comfort in being a spy; mistrusted by all sides. And then there was this, and well; as you say, he is only human after all, no matter what his students think.
Thank you again. I may try and post something else. I'm rather run off my feet at present, but I'm sure that now I've deleved in just a little, I'll be back with something else soon enough. ;)
