I read this aloud to my roommate and her response, "brilliant!". Mine, "AWESOME!".
We love it.
i found this while searching through the stories on here! this is such a cute story.
even in death potter still manages to riuffle Snapes feathers! well done!
Loved it! What a great little fic! You incorporated your prompts very well.
I liked :) Interesting at first, and I wasn't sure I understood what exactly was going on, but I enjoyed this little ficlet. I'd love to see more...

This was rather interesting. My one criticism is that you said Harry was standing in the boat, which is a definite no-no if it's small or rickety. I'm a canoeing instructor and you should always stay low when you're walking in a boat and never stand all the way up or you will tip. I suppose if it's a heavenly boat though, it might be a little more reliable :D.
Nice work!

Very original, this one. Mila
Ok, it took me a little while to work out what was going on - at first I thought it was the portrait talking to Snape. It was good fun to read. I think the end result of Harry's comment was great.
I had to read this. The summary made me laugh with its utter simplicity. Amidst all the crazy, convoluted summaries out there (including for my own story), yours stood out.
I loved the idea you had for the challenge...having Harry get on a regular boat would be a bit boring; it was creative of you to think of the River Styx. And it was hilarious that Dumbledore sent Snape to deal with Harry even now. ;)
Constructive criticism: I would have liked to see Snape try more methods to get Harry on the boat, and the different ways that Harry squirms out of it. There was a little too much "Get in the boat"/ "No." I mean, it was cute, because it made both Harry AND Snape seem like 11-year-olds fighting: "Yes!" "No!" "Yes!" "No!" "Yes plus infinity!" But I wanted to learn more about the characters, and get an answer to the question you posed: Can Snape and Harry ever get along? Or are they always going to be oil and water, even in the afterlife? Hard to do all that in 1000 words or less, though.
Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your story! It was fun to read something so refreshingly new!
Giggle worth - who would have thought that after death, Harry would be afraid of water.
Cute!!
Where's the boat ride to?
Author's Response: The boat's going to the afterlife.
