So Harry can walk? Or does he crawl on his own? So far, he's done both. He seems unusually brave for someone in his place, but he is Harry. I'm glad Snape decided to go swimming with Harry as I didn't see how he could get him into the water otherwise. If they are still at Hogwarts, does this mean they are staying there? Snape mentioned that he had his own resources and I don't see how he can justify staying there if he's not working. I also don't know how he can work with Harry as his charge. It's also surprising that Harry is not so intimidated by the open spaces if he has spent so many formative years locked in a dark basement in a four by four cage. But for him to remember how to speak at all is amazing. I don't suppose that the Dursley's would have wanted him able to do so at all as it would have given him away earlier.
Author's Response: Yes, Harry can walk... That will get explained later. As for Severus staying at Hogwarts, that's not an ultimate solution, but it was the easiest place to bring Harry in such short notice. He will take Harry to his manor at a later date. I hadn't thought about the open spaces thing, but I don't know, I didn't really say he wasn't intimidated at all. He feels some security with Sev around...

Thanks for answering my questions about his condition. There was another story like this that I read, but it was eventually abandoned. I occasionally come across it hoping it will be continued. I hope your version can go farther.
Yes, two chapters in one day. It is going to be a long journey for these two and Harry may never be "quite right". The problem will be that he never had the chance to make connections with humans during the time of childhood when it is most necessary.
Tell me that Dudley is going to be removed from the Dursleys. Hopefully, since they will be spending a long time in wizarding prison (hopefully) Dudley will need to be with someone else - like his cousin and a potions professor (or not.)
Author's Response: People are, for the most part, not going to like what happens to Dudley, but there is a reason for it. Sorry. If you want to read a nice Dudley story check out my other one, Burnt Out. That one has a saved Dudley. This one will include Dudders later on but not in a lovey dovey sense... Or... Well, you'll have to read on to see what I mean.

This is reminding me a lot of The Taming of Harry Potter, but your Harry's a bit more advanced I think than hers. I watched a movie recently about the feral girl Genie who was locked up for twelve or thirteen years with almost no human contact. She was able to learn to speak a little bit and to sign. Harry was only locked up for six years. He might be able to learn and understand language. I don't think Genie was ever able to accomplish that. Great story so far. Feral children are fascinating. I can't wait to read more.
