Reviews For Father of Mine
Amazing story! Hope it isn't abandoned like the many others I have read.
Author's Response: hahaha... sounds kind of like a Snape-ish thing to say, doesn't it? Thanks for reviewing. :)
I kind of feel Harry's pain after what he saw. I can't believe they'd test something so uncertain on him, as an unborn baby, no less. Anyway, the poor boy is about to have a reality check when he finds out his worst nightmare is coming to life! This is very well-written and detailed; I'm enjoying every word! -P.G. Author's Response: lol... can't reveal too much now, can I?? Answers are on the way, I promise... And yes, Harry's not pleased to see how casual others have been about manipulating his life. He's in a bit of a hard spot, though, because those people - Dumbledore, his parents (meaning, loosely, Lily and James), and to a small degree, maybe even Snape - are the same people that he has previously loved, trusted and/or relied upon to some extent. Talk about being conflicted. Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Yes.
Author's Response: Thanks! Glad you like it.
Author's Response: Oh my - that's a pretty strong reaction! When I was penning Snape, I didn't realize how much folks would dislike him... lol, but he really is being a prat, isn't he? Dumbledore isn't far behind, either. Things are going to be a bit rough for Harry in the beginning - he and Snape will really have to work at fitting each other into their respective lives. But, if it's any consolation, it's not going to be easy for Snape, either. :-) Thanks very much for the review.
Author's Response: Yeah, Harry's in for a bit of a shocker in Dumbledore's office... Glad you like it!
I think that if Snape actually can see that Harry is his son visually, then maybe he'll start to develop some paternal feelings for him. Normally, I would agree that I would want him to look more like Lilly, but since he was not in love with Lilly, and is already resenting the fact that Harry is is son, and he has to take responsibility for him against his will; I think that if Harry resembles himself more; there is a better chance that Snape will eventually accept him. After all, who can resist seeing a mini version of themselves. I'm guessing also that Caden, and his wife are dead, and something tragic happened to them; so maybe if Harry looks more him, Snape will grow to accept him more quickly, than if he was a James Potter lookalike! Author's Response: The nose is a curse for sure, isn't it?? Holy cow, Harry would have an absolute bird if he ended up looking like Snape! hahah... fun, fun, fun...
Author's Response: hahah... you're funny, little-sun. I like a character with a little bite, too. Which means that, in addition to Snape, we'll probably see Harry developing a bit of an attitude before he starts coming to terms with the events. No huggin' and kissin' and makin' up in this fic... well, I mean... at least not right away...
