And I feel so badly for poor Harry. I wouldn't blame him a bit for being very angry and upset still with Dumbledore. But I'm glad to see that Harry is going to have his friends for company. I hope you'll be able to update again soon! Author's Response: Life's been a zoo lately, and the story has unfortunately taken a back-seat to reality, which is why the updates have been slow coming. Hopefully I'll get myself together though :). Severus definitely has a lot to learn about being a father to Harry. Severus, being who he is, isn't new to dealing with children and adolescents; however, Harry's circumstances are outside the realm of his present experiences, so it will be a challenge for him how to figure out what Harry requires, and how to adapt his skills to suit those needs. And Harry's baggage isn't very light, either, so it will be a learning experience for both. Hope you continue to read and enjoy... I appreciate the review very much.
Author's Response: ah, darn. I had a passage that talked about this point, but I cut it b/c I couldn't quite get it right, and b/c I was just too tired to try anymore. But, the long and short is, Harry hasn't forgiven Dumbledore yet - he's struggling with the idea of wanting to forgive him, to "go back" as it were, to the way he used to feel about the Headmaster, and dealing with the reality of the Headmaster's manipulations. Maybe I'll try and add it into the next chapter, in hopes that it will shed more insight into Harry's thinking. I envision him as somewhat lost and unsure of who to trust, but also desperately in need of some stability from the people around him. Will try to clarify it next chap. Thanks for the review!
