Reviews For Overcoming Differences
Author's Response: Poor, poor, poor, poor, POOR Harry. I don't envy him one little bit! Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Thanks for the helpful review! It really helps me when readers give me advice, the whole reason I am writing (other than the fact that I love doing it) is to improve so I love a bit of constructive critisism. I understand what you mean about the POV change and I will try and stop doing it in future chapters, I'll revise the current chapters when I have some spare time as well. Thanks again, I appreciate it!
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! Wow, its quite an honour to get a review of you. You are on the featured list all the time, your stories must be incredible. I really must check them out. I'm soooo glad you liked my fic! I don't know about Harry but I would never be able to remember all of those rules. Or.... I would remember them but then 'accidently' break them. Anyway, thanks again for such a nice review!
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I'm glad you liked it! Next chapter will be up asap. It may even be up tonight actually, I have to get a chapter written for another of my fics first though... Thanks again for the feedback!
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! You made me blush! I'm really glad you liked it and thought it was promising! The lovely things you said will stay with me forever. I really appreciate the rating too, I have just updated and I hope you like that chapter as much. Thanks again, I really do appreciate it.
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I'm glad you liked it! LOL, its boiling just like polyjuice potion! I have just updated and I hope you like the next chapter too. Thanks again!
UPDATE IT THANKS IT Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! LOL, I love how clever your review was IT! Hehe! Hilarious! I'm so glad you liked it! I have just updated and I hope you like this chapter as much. Thanks again for making me smile with your kind words.
Being civilised includes: coming on time for appointments, be grateful that somebody will put up with you for the whole summer even when he has no obligation or wish to do so, be grateful that you actually have a room to sleep in instead of a cupboard, not complaining about the colourscheme or the taste in decoration of your host, not complaining about your host at all, displaying basic tablemanners, not giving cheek, rude answers or insolent looks but instead be polite (a foreign concept to some, I know) I know, Harry-me-boy, that you've been raised in a figurative barn, and that you can't really be blamed for braying like a donkey, but I'm just warning you that if you are rude, surly, insolent and whiny about such idiotic things as colourschemes, you will sound like a spoilt, arrogant twerp. If you sound like an spoilt, arrogant twerp, you will be treated as a spoilt, arrogant twerp. No use then getting angry for your host to think you spoilt and arrogant. If you want to be treated and thought of as a nice, civil boy, oh, I dunno, ACT LIKE ONE!!! (and yes, that goes for the 'first potions lesson as well'. Read that chapter again and you'll see that the whole of the class is listening intently to teacher Snape's speech about 'bottling fame'etc, except for twerp Harry and sidekick twerp Ron Weasley who "raised their eyebrows at each other". In other words, when the teacher is speaking, these two boys pull 'who's this idiot' faces at each other. No wonder the teacher comes down at him like a ton of bricks. I would.) This rant has been brought to you by Marion, who is constantly annoyed by Potter fan's insistance that nasty-bad Snape is 'constantly picking' at poor widdle Harrikins who never did anything to deserve it, oh no, and who somehow think that Harry being rude, disobedient and dishonest is perfectly okay because he's 'just a chiiiild' but that Snape has to apologise or even admit to 'being so wrong about Harry being spoilt and arrogant' because 'he's the adult, he should know better'. Argh! Sorry, this rant was not aimed at you, dear author. Harry Potter just has this effect on me. I loved how Harry had the epiphany that displaying good manners gets a civilised response at the end of this chapter. By just letting the boy realise this, you have deserved a ten star rating. Hurrah! Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I really appreciate the rating (hurrah!) and your words of wisdom. What you are saying is completely true, Harry just has to realise it. Over the next few chapters he will realise it more and more. Of course he will stay have points were he will be disobedient and rude because if he didnt, lets face it, he wouldnt be Harry. Thanks again for the feedback, I really appreciate it. |
