I've just started reading this and I'm really impressed. I love how Snape justifies everything he does for Harry. So sweet! I also love the co parenting thing and the way you portrayed the Weasleys. And your view of how things may have turned out had Harry had help early on is wonderful! Imagine how the war could have been nipped in the bud if the kids refused to hate each other! Most of all what I really like is that very few misunderstandings are allowed to go on between Snape and Harry. Snape immediately reassures Harry and Harry isn't left floundering. Harry immediately reassures Snape and Snape isn't left with more insecurities. I hate reading stories where misunderstandings are allowed to go on and on and you just suffer with the participants through long pauses between updates, only to find little progress has been made in the misunderstanding. Your way is infinitely easier to read, more fun, and leaves the reader much happier. Your writing too, is very good. It reads well because there are no awkward sentences or spellings and your writing isn't at all childish, like so many today. All in all, good job!

I am very glad to hear you are enjoying the story. :) I agree with you re the misunderstandings that drag on and on - and I also felt it important to have the 'early intervention' that prevents much of the horrible treatment that leads to the mistrust in canon. Good to hear it "works" for you!

I love how you're keeping Snape as snarky and strict as ever. It's very...Snape-ish :P
Author's Response: Thanks for voting! And I really wanted to keep that edge on Snape, rather than make him into a complete marshmallow or Father of the Year. He's never going to be the kind of dad that every kid in the neighborhood wants, if you know what I mean! :)

I love the staff "discussion" you end the chapter with! Snape snarkily starting it is a special joy. The image of Harry leaping up to touch a wall hanging - bright eyed and bushytailed the first thing in the morning - while Snape wearily trudges next to him (no doubt feeling caffeine deprived!) is lots of fun, too.
Great chapter - again! Oh, I voted - and I do want another update soon!
