Reviews For Harry's New Home
I enjoyed the part where Wood and Harry had detention : Oliver will probably spread tales that Snape is horrible to Harry, while he is nice and caring with him (he just has a snape-ish way of expressing love...) Author's Response: I like how you put it: a Snape-ish way of expressing love. That's it exactly! :)
Author's Response: LOL! I'm really glad you liked it. :)
Author's Response: I know - and can you think of anything Sev would hate more than having people discuss his hair care needs over his head? Hee hee hee! And I'm glad to hear you like how Harry and Severus' two different viewpoints set off so much confusion. :)
Author's Response: Thank you very, very much! I wanted the detention to be appropriate, just as you say (and even if Wood was convinced it was sheer torture!), so it's great to hear it succeeded. :)
Author's Response: Thanks! I loathe and despise shopping, and I imagined Severus would too, while Albus would (I think) be a very happy shopaholic. The idea came to me after a shopping excursion with a friend who is like Albus (except without the lemon drops), and I was going stark raving mad at the end! Glad to hear I communicated that through Severus' torment. :)
Author's Response: Thank you for your review! You have completely identified what I have hoped to achieve - writing a story about how Harry (and Severus) are learning what love means. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! Wow - I'm really delighted you enjoyed the story so much! I hope subsequent chapters continue to please. :)
I love how Severus is rationalizing his responses to Harry. For someone who can tell if others are lying with such accuracy, he's certainly trying hard to lie to himself, isn't he? Of course, he's not comfortable with the way he's feeling and he certainly feels out of control so it's not surprising that he doens't want to be honest with himself at this time. But Arthur is right; Sev is a wonderful Dad already. I also enjoyed the bickering and name-calling that Molly and Sev indulged in while they were in the kitchen. And Harry was just adorable. I love the way he's blossoming under Sev's care though it is very obvious that he has a long way to go when it comes to dealing with the issues the Dursleys left him with. Anyway, now that I've talked your ear off (probably worse than Hermione would) let me kust say that this was really, really good. Author's Response: Thank you! What a great compliment to hear that my words moved you to tears! :) I'm also very honored to have helped you remember your own memory of your mom. As I'm sure you guessed, a similar thing happened to me in real life with my grandfather's things... such powerful emotions, albeit a touch bittersweet. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! Hope you like the new update. :)
Author's Response: Aww! That's so cool to hear! :) |
