Although I have read some truly wonderful fanfiction in my time, specifically those concerning our favourite Potions Master, I must say that yours does a very good balance between portraying serious topics and showing true comic genius. I don't believe I ever laughed as much while reading as I did during the beginning of this chapter. Thank you very much and keep up the good writing.
I am pretty sure I reviewed this on ff.net already (my penname there is hollybridgetpeppermint), but I thought that since I just read it again, and enjoyed it just as much as the firs time, I ought to review again. :) The only thing I can think of to say is, in the words of VeggieTales (I know... :D): "I laughed; I cried; it moved me, Bob!"

It's wonderful to see a version of Severus so in character with how he's viewed in the early books. This so far feels very genuine concerning his reactions/actions. It's a wonderful starting point to forming a realistic relationship with Harry rather than one that moves along far too quickly (as happens quite frequently in these types of fics).
I'm quite impressed with everything from your writing style to characterization to the way you're maneuvering this plot into place. There have been more than a couple times in these few chapters that I've laughed out loud. I'm quite excited to read more (and quite pleased there's so much more to read)!

How could he have missed it? He, of all people, should have spotted Dumbledore’s manipulation from the start! How could he even call himself a Slytherin after having been played like this? He should replace Sprout as Head of Hufflepuff."
