love it, love it, love it. Hurt and comfort are my absolute favorite parts of this genre, I just had to go back and read it again. :D

Love it love it love it! :)

Hurt/comfort stories are some of my favorites. Snape is doing rather well. I like the idea that Harry has to keep his leg up - that is different. Good job.

Author's Response: Thank you very much, I love hurt/comfort stories too, but have no idea if I can write them well, so let me know how I do!

At first I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this story but I'm so glad I continued reading. It's really wonderful. I love the interaction between Shadow and Harry, even if I haven't quite figured Shadow out. Snape is terrific and I love how Dumbledore got hold of Snape and your original and very good reason why Snape capitulated so easily when asked to take Harry into his home. It's the best I've seen yet. Really good story so far. Keep up the good work!

Author's Response: I'm glad you persevered and that you like it! I'm trying to make this story as original as possible, so confusion is to be expected, rest assured I will explain Shadow later on in the story. I'm really happy you like the whole Snape/Dumbledore scene, it was fun to write! Thank you for reviewing, I hope you continue to enjoy this fic!

I applaud Harry's instincts for self-preservation and his cunning. If I was suffering his injuries and in that kind of pain, I would never have thought of using myself to trip up my enemy. Sev is right in character and his assumption that all of Harry's wounds were from the fall/jump out of the bedroom window are reasonable given his preconceptions of Harry's life. Great description and characterization as well as a nice plotline. Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward tothe next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I was relying on Harry's hide-from-predator instinct here, but he went and surprised me by taking it one state further (whoever said the author is in control of the fic is very wrong!) I'm glad you like Sev, and I certainly hope I can continue without making him OOC!
