This was wonderful. I love how they did treasure hunts and Severus didn't mind that Harry talked to himself some times and that Severus was angry at Dumbledore for the way he reacted to hearing about Harry's previous home life. And that he bought him Salem as a spur of the moment birthday gift and that he wouldn't want Harry gone and loves him and understands why Lily did what she did. And that they had a lot of fun that summer and that they'd getting along better. Makes me wonder what his friends will think and how worried they must be with him not responding to them. Even with Siri and Remy. And it makes me wonder if Siri and Dumbledore have the same skill level at the wards. It was sweet of Siri to want to check up on Harry and make sure he was okay and that Sev let them stay just because it made Harry happy. And how Harry is so much better after seeing his Aunt and cousin and Uncle act they way they should have at least in the first place. And how Shadow isn't gone for good, simply a little lost. And I know that Sev and Harry and maybe Dumbledore will do what they can to bring Shadow back since no one wanted him gone. I do feel sorry for Shadow since he is apparently alone. You're a wonderful author and writer. I am so glad my twin told me about this wonderful story. I wish I could rate it a 20. Cheers and ta.

I enjoyed the story. The concept of Shadow was interesting. I liked how Harry accepted Snape as his dad and didn't go through an angry/angsty phase like he does it a lot of similar fics. Thanks for writing.

Rereading this... AGAIN! (Have lost track of how many times...) Love it, as always! ;-)

Author's Response: Aw bless you! That's really uplifting to hear while I'm in the grips of an awful essay & unable to do any 'real' writing! Best wishes :)

A Fantastic, heartwarming story! I'm glad that you plan to bring Shadow back somehow and that the story doesn't end here. Well done!

This was an awesome story, can't believe I've only just read it! Actually I think I started it a while back because I recognise the beginning but I've finished it now! Aww poor Shadow, I hope Harry does find him some day! And I love the interaction you've written between Harry and Snape - Snape is clearly loving being a Father but hasn't turned completely soft either!

Anyways I'm off to read the sequel now! 10 chocolate frogs for you! :D

Since I already know there's a seqel to this, I'm not too worried! This entire story was well written and while I thought Snape acted entirely too out of character at times, in the end everything worked out. But hey, it's your story...Do with it what you will. Keep up the good work!
