Reviews For Sectumsempra - Snape's Perspective
Seems Harry brought up some bad memories for Snape. It is a shame he won’t let Dumbledore explain the situation with Lily to Harry, as he would better understand if he did. I'm curious about what Dumbledore will tell Harry and what his punishment will be... I also wonder what Harry's thinking out there in Hogsmeade and will wait to find out the next time you update :) Author's Response: I agree, if Snape let DD explain some things to Harry, everything would be much easier for both of them... But I really couldn't see Snape agree to that. I am glad to read you are curious about what DD will do to Harry, and yes, I will update soon!

Anyways Great CHAPTER! I was worried what Dumbledores reaction would be but you nailed it. I wonder what HE'S going to do to Harry. Also, i think Snape misjudges harry just the same way harry misjudges snape. Im sure there's a reason why Harry was in Hogsmeade it wasnt liek 'oh well u know y not break more rules' thing its harry. right? anyways your job (after answering this review is...) Yes, SNape and Harry, I think it is really sad that those two have always misjudged each other, Harry could have learnt so much from Snape. - Yes, I will update soon!
A reason why I find it so interesting to view it from both perspectives (as ive stated already a few times before) is because it shows that you can really never be sure what another person is thinking. For instance, when Snape was about to say "muggle-born" his lips were switching from something completely irrelevant to the actual words he was saying. Harry noticed this and immediately jumped (being impulsive as he is) to the wrong conclusions. Im glad that Harry refused to be caned this time, although I have a feeling that it could only course more trouble for him. I really cant wait until the next chapter to find out what happens next! Because I really am not at all sure what Dumbledore will do about it... Update soon :) Author's Response: Thanks for your review! Yes, conversations between Harry and Snape often are full of misconceptions....
Just for the record I'm on team Harry and I don't think Snape is justified at all, even if he wasn't going to call Hermione a mudblood, I don't blame Harry for assuming the worst. And I for one am glad Harry refused to be caned. It was his right, and in Snape's anger he would have really hurt Harry. It was also very in character for him to do so! Update SOON! Therefore I think that hes totally in character. In fact, I could imagine, if CP were in the actual books (though im glad its not, as that would be the whole story for Harry, given the amount of times he gets into trouble) that Snape would be just as harsh. I think that sometimes people forget that Snape is a cruel, sadistic, bastard who in fact despises Harry to the point of directing underserved cruelty towards him. I really do feel that he would do that to Harry, and love to do it at the same time. What I really hate is stories where Snape is a complete softy who suddenly discovers that he "cares" for Harry. I mean, to a certain degree thats ok, but when he starts to hug him...thats when its goes a little to far, I think. I mean, I dont give out hugs, and cant ever see myself doing that...ever...for whatever reason. But anyway, sorry for the long review about random things that probably dont concern you, but I just thought Id put my point across... Author's Response: Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me! I'm glad to read that you think Snape's in character. Yes, I agree with you about Snape. I mean, yes he is fighting for the "good" side, but that does not make him a nice person, to be honest that's what I like about JKR's story, that she didn't write that simple black and white thing, that good people are always likeable and vice versa. I know that some people might get angry at me for having Snape cane Harry again. All I can say is, I do think Snape would have done it. That doesn't mean that I would have done it!
But anyway, Im eager to know what the next chapter will be about...I really liked to whole bracelet idea, that would certainly be very challenging...especially for Harry. And I cant wait until your next update :)
The second caning was cruel and overly harsh and not even for something very serious. I do love your writing and from the different perspectives helps us understand each of their feelings. I didn't like that Snape caned him the first time, and definitely thought the second time was deserved, but it is so in character with Snape, and you delve so deeply into the character's emotions.
