Reviews For Severus Snape and the Muggle
Author's Response: Thanks again for another review. But I have to disagree with you I am afraid. SOME people do say things like that, particularly old, gallant men who can still appreciate a pretty face. But I will watch my use of that sort of thing in the future. A young person probably wouldn't compliment soemone else even if they were strung up by their thumbs, but someone as old fashioned as DD would. As I have twenty six chapters written, I am not sure that you won't see DD being gallant again. And Sue-ish, well, I am afraid this, and other similar terms connected with fanfic have always seemed exceedingly stupid to me. Why would an author write an OC who is supposed to be a love interest and give her no personality and no looks. My knowledge of the term is that an author creates a person that he or she would wish themselves to be. Am I right? Or someone who seems too good to be true. I am 56 years old and I assure you, I do not want to be Erin. And yes, I have made Erin attractive, but she isn't a super model and she is by no means perfect. She has a temper to rival Sev's. Is a published author ever accused of having created a Mary-Sue? JK Rowling has said that Hermione is a little like she was when she was a child, does that make Hermione a Mary Sue? Glad you think some of the lines funny. I do try. Hope to hear from you again. Lesley
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for letting me know. Am just editing the next chapter now, so I hope it pleases as much. Lesley
Author's Response: Thanks for another review. Glad you are still enjoying it. Next chapter is full of Erin's shock, horror and wonderment and Sev is at his snarky best. The chapter has been up for over twelve hours and you are the only reviewer. I think you are one of the few who enjoys long chapters because that is my theory as to why both my stories do not do so well on this site. I find that stories with shorter chapters get many more hits and reviews. I don't think people want to plough through so much written material. Oh, well, if you stick with me, I'll be satisfied. Thanks again, Lesley |
