Reviews For The Seven Year Snitch
I hope it is not too long before he realises what is going on, otherwise Harry will be a skeleton. The dream sequence at the beginning was certainly very strange. I wonder how the snake came to be in it. Has Harry had any encounters with snakes or did he see another television program. Or perhaps he is foretelling part of his own future. Loved this line..'No, he wasn't about to be tortured as a prisoner of war. But from Snape's expression, he wasn't going to get a hug, either.' very funny. Lesley~ Author's Response: Not too many have made the connection between Noddy and Snape -- I personally think they're a perfect match, but I also recognize some love him "not wisely but too well." Harry does have reason to have mental connections with snakes, but the dream wasn't particularly prophetic or anything. Dreams are funny, and in his new environment, it's understandable Harry would have war on the mind. Glad you liked that line. :o) Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: Noddy's like a sneak preview of Umbridge; Harry doesn't catch too many breaks in his life. I'm glad you like the story anyway. Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: I'm not sure what'll be going through his head, which is unfortunate, as I'll one day have to write it. :o) Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Depends on your definition of soon . . . in the chaptered sense, no, not really. In a biblical sense, I guess it'll be soon. :o)
Author's Response: Noddy's just jealous, and protective of Snape. But it'll be a while before Snape gets wise to what he's doing. Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Glad you liked it; the next chapter is in the works. Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Oh, I've had dreams that could curl your hair and straighten it again. :o) I once dreamt I was being executed by radical terrorists . . . and when I woke up to hear the Elephant Children stomping in the upstairs flat, I kind of wished it had been real. I'm glad you're enjoying the story. It's hard not to skim over stuff like the books Harry read, because the story seems, to the writer, to drag. Chapter Four is in the works now. Thanks for reviewing!
It seems Noddy IS a saddistic house elf, and, in any case, he doesn't like Harry. But I don't understand how he could lie to Snape, telling him Harry played outsied all morning and forced him to cook lunch. In canon, houseelves cannot lie to their master, and they must punish themselves if they don't follow orders... Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I'm so happy you're enjoying the story. My theory is that Noddy doesn't exactly lie to Snape all the time, he just doesn't tell the whole truth. And he might punish himself while Harry isn't around to see. He definitely doesn't like Harry, both on his own part and on behalf of Snape.
Author's Response: A harsh Snape definitely makes for a more interesting reading experience . . . I might have to leave him that way for a while, because once he goes soft, there isn't much I can do with him. :o) Now, to clarify, in this story, Harry wasn't exactly abused by the Dursleys, just neglected and hated like in canon. I like writing Harry that way so I can cuddle him . . . but not this time. Thanks for the review! |
