Reviews For The Seven Year Snitch
Will DD figure out that the house elf is lying, I wonder, because Severus isn't going to delve too deeply. And I imagine he will be able to twist whatever he finds at Privet Drive around to his own warped way of thinking, like Harry deserved to be sleeping in the cupboard under the stairs because he would have been so uncontrollable I am so tense waiting for some kind of breakthrough in Severus' perceptions of Harry and the behaviour of his elf. Lesley~ Author's Response: Thanks for your review! I always wondered, in canon, just how early Dumbles became aware of Harry's situation. He certainly knew by HBP, when he "confronted" the Dursleys, but it could have been told to him by the Weasleys at some point. Anyway, unfortunately for Harry, Dumbledore won't end up being his saviour this time.
I wonder, what will be Severus thinking when he arrives at Dursley's house and when he finds out about the cupboard. It will be interesting... P.S.: Sorry if I wrote some mistakes, English isn't my native language. ;-) Author's Response: No, don't worry, I didn't give it up. :o) I've just been having a little trouble. Probably the next chapter will be Snape's POV, so we can see what happened at the Dursleys'. Thanks for reviewing!
I was reading this story today, and i found it rather fasinating. I love it all, though i do hope Snape realizes that Harry wasn't lying all this time and that that horrible little house elf is discovered....uhh,he makes me mad! Anyway, are you planning on continuing this story, or had you forgotten about it? I hope not, as i have loved it so far. Please write another chapter very soon. Thank you very much, Just Me. Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I had some writer's block on Chapter Five, which I hope was a freak occurrence. I'll be writing more, if only because Snape won't cooperate and see the light. :o)
Author's Response: Unfortunately, Harry doesn't agree. :o(
i hope he gets a bit nice and strats acting a little more snapish even snape is not that daft.... but other than that it a great story Author's Response: Glad you're enjoying it, even though Snape's hideous face is marring the view at times. :o) Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: His call is still pretty far in the future, so he'll be a git for a bit longer. Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Severus, surprised? Admitting he's wrong? Surely you jest . . . Thanks for the review!
Speaking of which, I do like that Snape doesn't, really. He's what might be euphemistically termed expressive - ie, throws screaming fits over matters of small or large importance - and that's completely in-character here. I'm not sure if Noddy is nasty so much as just psycho. It seems a common house-elf trait. I have to admit, however, that since canon!Harry says outright that “long experience had taught him to remain out of arm’s reach of his uncle whenever possible" - and we actually see Vernon throttling him, Petunia swinging a frying pan at his head - I'm not sure how they don't qualify as physically abusive. Are we to assume that these Dursleys hadn't got around to that much by the time they died? Author's Response: Snape's kind of like the immortal children in "Twilight"; he never emotionally matured past a certain age. :o) And I think the house-elves are a little insane by definition, like hyenas or something. This one is bitter, more so than, say, Dobby, and resentful. I don't know if he has any redeeming features yet. :o) I guess the Dursleys were physically abusive at that, but this story won't be detailing the thrice-daily beatings he suffers in much of fanon. He was emotionally abused and neglected, however, but Snape thinks that if he feeds him enough (he doesn't know about the extra missed meals) and gives him a bed, that's enough. We'll try to make him see that Harry needs more. Thanks for reviewing!
However, I have to say that I loved this chapter so I forgive you. I can't pick out a favourite bit! Severus' daydream, Albus laying down the law, Severus' latest altercation with Harry... they're all brilliant and make me want more. Great update! Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing; I'm glad you liked it! I finally overcame the writer's block for a fifth chapter, but it's only dragging out the agony. :o( Can't write a nice Sev to save my life.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Don't underestimate Snape's stupidity or Noddy's clumsiness. :o) Neither of them will be changing their spots for some time to come. |
