Reviews For The Seven Year Snitch
Author's Response: Depends on your definition of soon . . . in the chaptered sense, no, not really. In a biblical sense, I guess it'll be soon. :o)
i love poor harry and i love the fact that snape is mean it's feels right Author's Response: Me, too. :o) I wouldn't want to be Harry right now, but it's definitely Snape's character to be mean. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the review!
I don't care what Noddy's problem is. If he's been Sev's elf for a while then he knows that Sev himself was abused as a child. Why would he be encouraging Sev to do the same to Harry? Author's Response: Well, unfortunately Noddy also knew about Severus's trouble with James, so he's quite resentful of Harry just now. I don't like him, either. :o) Thanks for your comments!
Author's Response: Noddy's just jealous, and protective of Snape. But it'll be a while before Snape gets wise to what he's doing. Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Glad you liked it; the next chapter is in the works. Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Oh, I've had dreams that could curl your hair and straighten it again. :o) I once dreamt I was being executed by radical terrorists . . . and when I woke up to hear the Elephant Children stomping in the upstairs flat, I kind of wished it had been real. I'm glad you're enjoying the story. It's hard not to skim over stuff like the books Harry read, because the story seems, to the writer, to drag. Chapter Four is in the works now. Thanks for reviewing!
It seems Noddy IS a saddistic house elf, and, in any case, he doesn't like Harry. But I don't understand how he could lie to Snape, telling him Harry played outsied all morning and forced him to cook lunch. In canon, houseelves cannot lie to their master, and they must punish themselves if they don't follow orders... Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I'm so happy you're enjoying the story. My theory is that Noddy doesn't exactly lie to Snape all the time, he just doesn't tell the whole truth. And he might punish himself while Harry isn't around to see. He definitely doesn't like Harry, both on his own part and on behalf of Snape.
Author's Response: A harsh Snape definitely makes for a more interesting reading experience . . . I might have to leave him that way for a while, because once he goes soft, there isn't much I can do with him. :o) Now, to clarify, in this story, Harry wasn't exactly abused by the Dursleys, just neglected and hated like in canon. I like writing Harry that way so I can cuddle him . . . but not this time. Thanks for the review!
i want to see what elf has in mind for harry next can't wait please update i love love this Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I think Snape going mushy would be a little too cliched (for fanon, anyway). Noddy's going to be causing quite a bit of trouble for Harry before Snape gets wise. An update should be coming soon!
Author's Response: This will be more of a guardianship story than mentoring. Snape will be using corporal punishment on his new ward, and it'll seem a little too harsh for a seven-year-old at first, but that's because Snape is (and will be) acting out of anger. I don't want to spoil what's coming, but I hope my Snape is never seen as abusive, because it wasn't intended that way. Thanks for the review! |
