I loved, loved the opening to this chapter about Snape reading the potions text about Muggle-born Maude. LOL! You have him down so perfectly. But poor Snape, trying to be a 16 year old father. What a mess! The scene with Molly was so dramatic, but I am SO glad that he had someone to help rescue him. Poor Severus. He's really being badly used.
And Harry - he is described so nicely for being a baby. I especially loved the fire engine with black hair description. And then how he smiled when Lily came and Snape felt betrayed. Wow what a fine handle on emotions you weave.
Fantastic writing, fantastic chapter. thank you so much for sharing it.
Reviewing again because i read it again. Poor Severus. I think that you did his character very, very well, especially from the point of view of a teenager, which we never really get to see either in the books or fandom. Fantastic job. I like that he KNOWS how a person gets pregnant and that it is impossible, but that Lily crying and the situation and such fools him. He is sweet, even if he is a nasty person in some ways. But i think that Lily is just as nasty. I have to wonder what James thinks of all of this - if he ever finds out. I can't remember.
Sweet, so you will be skipping many years in the next chapter? Or will it be a baby fic? I'm interested, keep it up please! :)
I love this story so much. It has a beginning that we normally don't see in Snape and Harry stories, but the Snape and Harry interaction is so unique later, and so full of new situations and emotions that it is so worth it. Amazing.
