Reviews For A Wolf in Winter
Author's Response: Thank you very much! You'll see more of Remus/Silver in the sequel too.
Author's Response: Thanks and there is a sequel posted, which has now become a novel called Snow Girl and the Sorcerer's Son. It is set in January, and features Severus' birthday, not Christmas. I had Wolf in Winter set during Christmas to answer a Christmas Fest challenge, as I did Snowflakes and Memories.
Yours truly, melfis. Author's Response: Thank you so much! I love wolves and this one came up out of nowhere and I just scribbled it down . . .well on my computer, that is. Glad you guessed it was Remus, some people didn't. There's a sequel posted as well called Snow Girl and the Sorcerer's Son.
Once again, you have created an enjoyable story to read, filled with humor, action/drama, surprises and heart-warming goodness :D Lovely job, it's going on my favorite's list. Remus/Silver’s legacy was a bit of a surprise for me. At first, I had a nagging suspicion that Silver was going to be Remus looking out for Harry, and am thrilled that I was right. However, after reading a bit, I had wondered if perhaps I was wrong and the wolf was actually a descendant of Silverstrike... turns out, I picked the wrong descendent, lol! I think it's cool that you made Remus related to Will :) The story of Silverstrike is really creative and I think it'd make a wonderful children's story. Anyway, lots of warm fuzzies filled me at the end, so this definitely was a festive story! Btw: I’d LOVE it if you continued with this story! Let me know if you do please :) Author's Response: I wasn't sure when I first started writing this what I was going to do with Silver/Remus, but then I thought, why not link him with Will Ashkevron and Silverstrike? I thought I might expand on the Wolf In Winter story, you know flesh it out some more, maybe make it into a novel, but that would be later. I'm so glad you liked this one, it wa ssomething I came up with on the spur of the moment. I do have a sequel posted here called Snow Girl and the Sorcerer's Son, I'm currently working on the next chapter and yes, it does have Silver in it and Sev and Harry too, of course! It also features an OC of mine that I think you'll like very much.
Will Silver be watching Harry from the Forbidden Forest while the kid's at school? Author's Response: yes, most definitely, Silver will be there and Harry will have plenty of adventures before that too. He will need Silver's help for sure with them. I've posted a sequel to this, by the way.
Please continue this series - I especially like it because of the wind sprites, which add that extra bit of magic to the story. Author's Response: I know the feeling, believe me. I had a dog that was part wolf once and looked a lot like Silver as I've described him. The wind sprites are some of my favorite charcaters too. I did just post a follow up to this called Snow Girl & the Sorcerer's Son and it features Silver, Severus, and Harry, of course! I loved your Christmas fic too and nominated it in the poll.
It is such a beautiful, warm, fuzzy, and fluffy piece that has to be read over and over again, specially while curled up in bed with a mug of hot chocolate. Author's Response: Thanks, Dina! I am glad you liked it, I love animal stories and always manage to have one in my fics somewhere. I also like harry/Severus father and son fics and this one came to me after I had watched a show on wolves and a christmas story on TV. That hot chocolate sure sounds good right about now and I hope you'll enjoy the next sequel to this one. The previous story Snowflakes and Memories is also a warm and fuzzy one and explains how Sev adopts Harry, if you'd like to read that one while I'm writing the sequel.
Yes, Please! Write More about this trio of "men" I think I'm in Love. V. Author's Response: Me too! I have an idea for a sequel already, and they all will be in it. Hope your holiday was great and thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: Thanks and I'll get around to reading your eventually. Glad you enjoyed it!
Author's Response: Aww thanks! And it does. Merry Christmas. |
