Well, I noticed that this isn't reviewed, and it's actuallyquite good. Isn't it annoying the way people read through your story but only review the last chapter??
Anyway, like i said above, this is reslly good. I like the Minerva-Severus scheming, and the past conversation with Poppy. Can't wait to read more. I can't remember the conversation mentioned with Ron at the beginnin of term though..... suppose you could enlihten me??? *sigh* Or I could just get up and look for it in the book......

Hi, nice fic you have here. I'm a sucker for Christmas fics, so I was naturally drawn like a magnet to this one. I really like the idea of the teachers taking charge to get Dumbledore out of the way and make a good choice for Harry. What a great idea; being a future teacher myself, I know that many people would not stand for allowing a child to keep going back to a bad home situation if there was something they could do about it (though sadly, there isn't always a solution). It made me feel warm inside that the teachers cared enough to get together and work towards that cause.
Another thing I really liked about this fic was Severus' relationships with the other teachers. In a lot of other fanfics, Severus is often painted as a loner and someone who has no relationships at Hogwarts, other than with Dumbledore, of course. It was nice to see him joking around with Minerva and being kind to Hagrid.
The one thing I was kind of disappointed about was that we didn't get to see Dumbledore come back and have a reaction to all that happened. I think the story would be more complete if that was included because it felt like the main point of the story to me. Even if it didn't result in a happy, "Christmasy" ending, I really would have liked to see what had happened between the teachers and old D.
Nice work though. I did enjoy reading it. Have a good Holiday Season.

awww...i really love this story! great job
You definitely have to write a sequel. How would Dumbledore react? The same with Ron, the Slytherins, and the Death Eaters that managed to avoid Azkaban. How would they react? Not to mention how this "path not taken" will effect the second war. This could be easily become an interesting series covering the rest of Harry's time at Hogwarts and the second war against Voldemort.
Aw...I want more!
