You called Harry a pureblood, but last chapter you were talking about his muggle relations. Just thought I'd mention. Great story

Author's Response: Oh, I did? Thanks for pointing it out.

I really liked how Harry defended her and I have to agree with Harry's pov: Sometimes you have to defend yourself even with your fists and honestly - they really didn't have the chance to go and get Severus or do anything else that would have helped, and it was very important for Holly to see that someone would go to that length to defend her! And sometimes, just sometimes, I think a guardian should refrain from punishing a child because this really accounts for a special situation even though I fully agree with you that resorting to violence isn't a way to deal with things... But Severus wasn't too angry, still he made his disappointment so clear that he scared Holly - that's definitely not a good thing! For her it was very important to fight back - those guys had bullied her before after all, and I just think that in this very case fighting back was a step towards her gaining back some self woth! And Harry really became a big brother as well! So all in all, it was a "good" fight, just like Silver biting Malfoy in the bum... ;-) Wouldn't you agree?
Very nice story or really series! I like it a lot! Thanks for sharing!

Author's Response: Harry did the right thing, but Sev had ti punish them so they would know not to just keep getting tinto fights, especially with a wizard who could really hurt them.  Gven the nature of most wizards, this will not be the last time something like this occurs and Severus wants Harry to learn to control his temper now.  But he is also proud of him for doing what is right.

I am glad that Harry stood up to help Holly. By the way love the date for Snape birthday, it is the same as Mine. Looking Dreamily as I image Sev and I have a party together .

Author's Response: ooh, I'd love it if Sev was here to celebrate my birthday too! Yum!

Good going Harry! But Severus needs to talk to Holly and make sure she knows she's wanted there.

Author's Response: Right and he will, thanks for reading!

GO HARRY! Big brothers rock :D And brothers in general, of course. I do think Severus was right in punishing them for fighting, even if it was for a good reason. But, I do feel terrible for Holly. I can only imagine how terrified she must be - I mean, a mere few days in someone's home and you're already grounded, lol. Poor girl, lol.

    LOVED it!

    Author's Response:

They do, mine did much the same thing when I was in school, he threatened to pulverize a kid who was harrassing me continuously and making me miserable.

The kids did deserve to be punished, and though Holly knows that logically, she is still a very damaged and insecure child who will need reassurance and counseling in order to heal.

Loved it! Those nasty kids need to be taught a lesson and I wish Sev had been there to scare the daylights out of them. I hope he gets that Healer to counsel her and keeps Lucius away from her.

Author's Response: Me too, but I wanted Harry to have his chance to shine here.  Sev will do his best to protect Holly, as always.

Right there with Harry (and Severus) with hating bulllies and bigots. The wizarding world was not a good or nice place.

I wonder if this is the behavior Filch was treated that way as a child and that is the reason he became so bitter.

So, if you are a wizard or witch with no magical parents, you are looked down upon or if you are a child or magic but have no magic, you are looked down upon. And house elves are just used. Apparently there is only a few wizards that are approved of.

I like Tasha, Maybe she will work her womanly wiles on our Severus. He has been alone too long.

    Author's Response:

No, it has its share of prejudice just like our own.

Yes, I;d say that Filch was treated very similarly to this.  As a matter of fact he will have an appearance later on in the story, I think Dumbledore, no matter how well-meaning, did him no favors making him the handyman of Hogwarts, where he is forever reminded of lacking magic and sneered at by the students for being in a menial position.  It would be easy to see how that would make one bitter.

Interesting idea about Tasha and who knows, she might just get up the nerve to ask Sev out.  We'll see.

The fight was brilliant. The only thing that I would,ve liked better was if Shadow could have taken a bite out of their asses!

    As always, great chapter!

    Author's Response:

    You mean Silver, right?

And I'd have liked that too, maybe next time someone starts something, Silver will teach them a good lesson too.

awww that was adorable! i hope Lucius' gets his ass kicked by Sev and he adopts Holly :)

Author's Response: He will, don't you worry, but that's yet to come.  Lucius will be back, like a bad penny, until they finish him for good.
