Reviews For Snow Girl & the Sorcerer's Son
The punishment fits the crime. You've done a really good job leveling the playing field on the "Houses" at Hogwarts. Me and the kids have always picked them apart and looked beyond the obvious. When the 7 of us RPG'ed we sorted in a most interesting way, 3 Gryf 1 Rav 1 Sly 2 Huf Yea I sorted into Huf...I'm an ass, and liked the hidden quality's of the house. You could be yourself with backup. I think it was the term "All the rest..." that we liked the most. She did a comic strip inspired by "There she is" a youtube animation video. Based on her character (Quigley) having a crush on Sev...LOL Poor guy...Her character had Snape Dolls,Posters all on a shrine... And God help ANYONE who touched it... I'll have to upload the strip on Deviant art one day but it was dead cute... Throckmorton had BETTER HOPE he doesn't get caught! I don't think the results would be very pretty. Author's Response: Thanks. I always felt Slytherin got the short end of the stick, since it was the House that Voldy came from and had a bad rep for that, plus they were the ambitious House, which is a quality that some people look down on, and had a snake for their symbol, which can sometimes be seen as being an "evil" animal. And I think a lot of people overlooked the fact that Peter pettigrew--a Death Eater--was in gryffindor--so they're not all perfect. I suppose it was assumed that because the Golden trio was in Gryffindor, it was the "good" House, but the Marauders were horrid bullies and I'd like to know how the heck they changed from tormenting students to suddenly being defenders of the weak. It always got me that it was never explained, because in my experience, kids who bully grow up to be bullies unless something happens to make them totally have an attitude adjustment. I think it would have been better if JKR had made Harry have friends from ALL the Houses, so then you could see that there was good and bad in each House. As for Throckie, well he's going down. Be assured of that one, because no one escapes Snape! Working on the next chapter now!
Author's Response: He will! read all about it now!
I think Pritchard is in for a terms worth of detentions with Argus and Sev in the very least. I think Holly has a new pet. Now, will Harry let Draco off with an apology to Holly since Draco is coming forward to protect his half-sister? So many questions... Author's Response: Thanks, and those boys are going to get it, trust me! And not just from Sev either . . . The kitten may indeed become Holly's pet. As for Draco and Harry, you can find out now, I've updated!
Those horrid students clearly have neither brains, nor hearts. That poor kitten! *sobs* Holly was brave to try and stop them from abusing it, but it‘s a good thing the others showed up or the bullys could have really hurt her. Those fools SO deserve what's coming to them! The wrath of Snape will be something to behold, hehe. (BTW, I have a hunch Holly will get to keep the kitten :D If so, I wonder what she'll name it?) Draco needs to watch himself. Though I'm glad he decided to help Holly and Harry in the end, it really was terrible for him to insult Holly, even if it was a slip of the tongue. If the re-race is still on, I'll be cheering for Harry, so he can show the other boy a thing or two! Author's Response: Thanks, I tried very hard to come up with something different and I had to include Argus, it just felt right for him to have a pivotal role and show the school that he's good for something other than scrubbing floors. yes, those kids are idiots, and Snape will make them suffer. As for what the kitten gets named, read the next chapter, since I've posted it. Draco does need to watch his mouth, but you'll see what happens to him as well next chapter.
So at the end did Draco actually defend his sister? That was so cute. I love that they're scared of Snape. Hurry and update, I'm really anxious to see those troublemakers get their just deserts! LOL Author's Response: Yes, but it served as an example to the students of what NOT to do, and considering that Cross doesn't really feel remorse over what he did to Filch, Dumbledore wished to drive th epoint home that what he did was terribly wrong. Yes, draco did indeed defend Holly and would have probably helped Harry fight those bullies if Silver and Severus hadn't come along. Scared of Snape . . .petrified is more like it . . .and well they should be . . .hahahaha! They'll be getting theirs, all right!
Well now...What is Draco to do? Kinda confusing for him. HE can call his sister what he wants...others can't...typical Draco. Plus he'll work it out in the end. You've done a WONDERFUL job with this...not only will Draco be able to accept Hermione in the future, but he wasn't raised with the blood feud so he can even accept the Weasleys...goodness knows I shudder to think of Draco and the Twins hitting it off...He wouldn't be nasty but I still see those prankster genes kicking in... I think the teachers would jump off of a cliff with all of THOSE kids getting along... My brain goes crazy with it...Hermione and Holly....Lord Help the boys...I think in regarding the girls brain power ALONE the boys would be out classed..... Argus...got his moment...as it always should have been. When my family did our own RPG...Argus was the man cause he knew all of the secrets... Author's Response: Uh, probably, LOL! Yes, Draco still has some issues to resolve, and actually his attitude towards his sister is typical of older brothers. My nephew used to tease his younger siblings and boss them around something awful, but heaven help anyone else outside of the family that tried anything with HIS siblings. They were dead meat. When I asked him why it was that he could do whatever he wanted to his brother and sister, he just said, "I'm family, and that's how it is." Oh God, could you imagine, Draco and Fred and George together? The staff would have a collective nervous breakdown. Yes, the girls would be genuiuses and probably plan out some of the boys pranks, unwittingly, of course. Yes, he did indeed, for fair is fair, and he is the man, all right.
Author's Response: I will and here's a hint . . .it will NOT be pleasant.
Author's Response: Okay and now you can read it. As for Draco and Harry, yes, there will be small arguments and such.
Author's Response: Thanks, and I've updated. The ending was really sweet to write.
It was very nice of the kids to visit Filch and give him those presents. Clearly that was a new experience for him, I'm sure he appreciates that there are some kind children around. Hopefully he'll recover relatively soon. I’m glad Holly was reassured that she still has someone whom cares about her, regardless of minor mistakes. I can’t help but agree with what she and Harry said about Throcmorten though, hehe. Anyway, I hope the kids have a fine time ice skating and am interested to see how the expulsion goes. Hope to read more soon as always! Author's Response: Yes, there will be, but without too much bitterness, obviously, since they don't have a past to live down like they do in the books. Filch will be recovering fairly soon and was quite touched by Harry and Holly's thoughtfulness, as that wasa first for him. Yes, Throckmorton really is evil and the expulsion is now posted so you can read it. |
