That was gut wrenching. Well done, in character but man oh man.... Excellent job.

    Author's Response:

If I managed to even partialy convey the horror of the subject, then I consider the fic a sucess. You're the first person to tell me my work's gut wrenching... thanks.

    And thanks for the review,

That was really powerful. I didn't "enjoy" reading it, I don't mean to say that, because it was horrifying. But it was fascinating and compelling and I'm glad I was given an opportunity to read it. You write well and you got your idea across beautifully without actually saying it. Good job!

    Author's Response:

    Good, as that's what I intended =)

    Thanks for the review!

Usually, I have a difficult time reading stories that deal with abuse, whether physical, sexual, or emotional, because it's so overdone. But in this case, I can totally believe Harry's writing all of this in his essay. I'm a teacher and I've had students turn in journal entries similar to this, where they just bleed their hearts on paper. It's terribly sad. I can understand Severus' "why me?".

Thank you for sharing your story with us :-)

    Author's Response:

Oh, wow... thanks. I totaly agree with the excessive abuse stories, few people (myself included) truely grasp how much of an inpact it has on one's life. I'm glad my story exeded expectations... Its been two year since I got my iguana, Lex, who was a victim of abuse and neglect. Despite extremely gentle care, only within the past few months has he not bitten or slaped me whenever I pick him up... iguana rehab was not what I signed up for when I adopted him. I'm sorry about your students... at least they know, be it on a subconscious levle or not, that they can trust you.

Leaving on a rather melancholy note, thank you again for the review.

A powerful piece of writing. Well done. I hope you do a sequel getting Harry the help he needs.

Compared to a lot of fics I've read about this, I'd say this one was rather tastefully done (not to imply that I approve of what is happening because I most certainly don't). I like that he never once mentions the word rape in his essay and that we are simply left with Severus' uneasy feelings and don't get a sense of resolution. I get the feeling that Harry doesn't even quite know why he's chosen to reveal it now and that Severus really is uncertain of what to do about it. This is good writing on a hard topic.

    Author's Response:

=D Thank you. Admittedly, the body of the story did not turn out as well as I had intended, but the ending I feel was about as good as it comes. I'm glad you picked up on Severus's unease, and the not so subtle hints of what happend. Many reviewers do not... Harry's easay, much like the fic was rather impromptu.

Thank you again for reviewing, it always makes me happy.
