Reviews For Resolution
I don't think Snape's punishment was all that bad, considering. In Prince Manor, I had Sev take away Harry & draco's brooms for two months and do loads of punishment chores for ages and share a room with each other. And it wasn't as if Severus didn't offer Harry a way to mitigate his punishment, he said if Harry behaves then he'd let him off early. I guess Harry missed that, huh? Typical teenager! I think Severus did well in controling himself, especially after that outburst. Update soon! Author's Response: Well, he had a lot of emotions brewing underneath there, add to that the fact that he's 14, well... let's just say it could have been a lot worse! The bit about 'who do you think you are' amused me too - if I had ever said that, I wouldn't even have had a chance to run! Snape's punishment definitely wouldn't have been so bad if he'd as sat and explained it to Harry instead of being vaguely cruel about it... well you'll see what happens. I love Prince Manor by the way - it's such a great set-up! I think Severus did an excellent job of controlling his temper... pit no one else picked up on it! But, you did, so I'm happy :) Thanks for reviewing!
Harry's mad at his friends right now, so he's not going to turn to them, is he? Oh dear, I hope he doesn't go off and do something rash. Now you've gotten me worried about the poor lad. Anyway, I think Sev will realize that he shouldn't have been so harsh sooner or later (hopefully sooner). It was dangerous for Harry to take the book, but Harry acted with care while he had it and nothing bad happened. I don't think he deserves such a big punishment. Update soon--I hope Harry's okay! -P.G. Author's Response: Don't worry, Harry won't do anything too rash - you'll see next chapter, and hopefully he'll soon be able to make up with Hermione as well. Severus will realise he's been harsh and try to make up... and at a later date, I may reveal precisely why he reacted so strongly! Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: It was a little cruel, but there was a reason for Severus overreacting... Hopefully I'll be able to write them to reconcile soon! Thanks for reviewing!
what happens is you get scolded! ;-) Author's Response: Aw, thank you for finding out! That's been bothering me for some time now...
I liked how Snape is still snarky. Good job Author's Response: Thank you - writing snarky Snape is a bit like my drug :) Just can't get enough of it!
His punishment seems way over the top. Won't this set their bonding back quite a ways? Will Snape relent or will you make Harry be the one to end up just accepting this as just? I hope not -- I want Snape to see that Harry deserves some kindness rather than harshness. Author's Response: Ah, you shall see what I'll do... But, anyway, there was a reason for Severus overreacting like he did, but that won't become apparent until later (not that he should have anyway, but that's by the by). Harry does need to apologise properly, but so will Severus! If we're lucky, this won't set them back by much, but it will a little. Thanks for reviewing!
It was refreshing to see a suportive Ron and Hermione be the one who freaks out. I eagerly await your next chapter Author's Response: Don't worry, Harry won't lose any of his determination - I enjoy writing independant!Harry too much for that. (however, I will need you to inform me if you think otherwise:). ) Yes, Snape did overreact in a big way and though there is a reason for that (not yet revealed) he really shouldn't have behaved the way he did. It's like you said - they're still learning about each other and there's bound to be mistakes along the way! I'm glad you liked Ron and Hermione - I liked writing them that way. I really think it should be done more often like that. Thanks for your review! Next chapter coming soon.
I love Harry this way, that MUST have been fun to write. I hate when Harry is made too wimpy. I love when he has some backbone, and he certainly has a lot here! LOL! Great chapter, I simply can't wait for the next one. Hey, is Sev planning on telling his Slytherins at all about Harry? Author's Response: Well, I'm glad you didn't anyway :) I really didn't realise how creepy that line sounded until I read it over, and then I got the chills down my spine! Harry was great fun to write - his emotional reactions are a little confused at the moment (as will become more apparent in later chapters) but I can't see him losing any of that fierce determination or backbone. Thanks, glad you liked! Severus isn't planning to tell them, but they will find out soon enough anyway... The most Dumbledore managed to buy for Harry was a few hours of anonymity. |
