Awww! I'm glad they both calmed down enough to try and fix things. Good chapter.

I liked how Snape apologized...well done of him, Harry as well.

An update! Poor Harry, missing Shadow so much. I wonder what Shadow is doing, we have not seen him for a few chapters. I am glad your comp works properly again! Mila

Author's Response: Yes, it is working again, I'm happy! Ironically enough, there shall be a bit of Shadow next chapter as well as the normal Harry/Snape layout. Shouldn't be too long now! Thanks for reviewing!

YAY, I finally got the chapter I was waiting for-Hogwarts find out the Potter/Snape mystery!

It was delicious. Yay for updates!

Author's Response: hehehe - more Hogwarts/Harry interaction is planned for ch9. How evil do you think I should be? I'm leaning towards very evil at the moment, but I can be persuaded otherwise... Glad you found my chapter edible (?) I'm being odd... ignore me. Next chapter will contain what's happening to Shadow!

Author's Response: Thank you very much - I'm glad you're finding it so.

I am really enjoying this story! I'm looking forward to the long term reaction of the student and the interaction between Harry and Neville and Ginny. I think you do an excellent Snape!

Author's Response: That's great to hear :) I have some Hogwarts/Harry interaction planned for chapter 9, so that should be interesting... Though Neville and Ginny won't appear too frequently straight away, I am bearing them in mind, and I'm thrilled you like my Snape - he's the most difficult, but most satisfying to write. Thanks for reviewing!

I'm happy too. Severus grovelled enough to please me. Wonder if he realizes how much Harry needs him from that hug?

Author's Response: Oh, good! I had fun making Snape grovel... ha. I don't think he quite realises yet, but he's getting there. Next chapter includes Harry's 'real' punishment, so I would be interested to hear what you think when I've updated.

Oh, that was really beautiful. I loved this chapter. I feel that Harry and Severus have finally made progress in their relationship.

Please update soon, this story is so well written, and I'm enjoying it immensely.

Author's Response: Aww, thank you - I did work hard to try and make it believable, and yes, they have made progress, but it's still slow going. I'm planning chapter 8 already, so I'm hoping that the next update won't take too long! It's wonderful to hear that you're enjoying it!

Oh wow, that was mush at the end. You almost made me cry there, which is not an easy feat with me. I really liked the part where Snape put McGonagall in her place about Salem. It was nice to see Harry feel a little hope. I think those two really need to just start over--it's going to be hard for them to build up a relationship at school where they are expected to behave in a certain way. I'm sure they'll figure it out though.

One small criticism is that you said a bezoar was from a crocodile's body, and I don't think that's right. I'm pretty sure it comes from a goat's stomach in J.K.'s books, but I'm not 100% positive about that. I'm sure someone on this board would know though.

I had missed this fic while your Word was messed up. Great chapter--I look forward to more!

    Author's Response:

I tried, but failed, to not have mush - I just love the stuff too much! Well, it's nice to know you think it worked, anyway. Yeah, the problems are only just beginning - Harry's probably going to start wondering if he should go to his friends or his father for advice for one, as well as the issue that it's difficult to build closeness in a schooling environment... Anyway, we'll see!

Ach, drat, I had a feeling that I hadn't made the whole Bezoar thing clear - what I meant was that the Bezoar came from a goat, but the thing that neutralises it comes from a crocodile. I'll go and sort that bit in a mo...

    Glad you're enjoying!

disliked the fact that the chapter ended... haha. the memory of shadow was really vivid. i feel like the conversation between harry and snape was missing something, though... well, other than the fact that it's not finished yet, and maybe that's half my problem. giving me half of a conversation is a bit annoying :P

Author's Response: heh - yes, that could be seen as a bad thing! I'm glad you liked the bit with Shadow - that bit was fun to write. Anyway, hopefully when I get the rest of the conversation up, it'll feel more settled, but you'll have to let me know! (The next update shouldn't take too long.)
