Reviews For Broken Wings
Poor young Sev - to have only one person care where you lived or died. sniff. Looking forward to more (and the painful execution of the little brats that invaded his space - well, not execution, but there will be pain. Author's Response: I always did too and was disappointed that we never got a good enough glimpse of Hagrid as a kid and all, he hlped, but was always in the background, know what I mean. I would have loved to see him interact more with the staff. Sev and Hagrid as mentor student works on so many levels, hagrid knows when not to push Severus, he understands what it's like to be lonely and unloved and have no family. I don't think Albus ever really understood that, not the way it matters, and how the lack of a support system can cause you to do some very stupid and desperate things. Dumbledore was, from the books perspective, the favored son, and the brilliant student, very popular, people loved and respected him, so it would be hard for him to relate to someone like Severus, who was a social outcast. I know, Sev's life has sucked up till now. But it'll get better, promise! And those brats will get what's coming to them, I just don't know yet how I'm going to make them suffer! Oh and the next part's up--lots of Sev & Harry bonding here.
V. Author's Response: Yes, he does, stupid Snape isn't and he knows better than to leave his personal stores unguarded like that! He will, oh yes he will, and the little ferret is going to regret ever kicking that perch!
I was worried about Harry, thining that he was stuck for all the time Snape was away, but i am glad to learn that it was only at the end. Fantastic story! Thanks so much for sharing it with us! Author's Response: Yes, he will not be happy with Draco at all and that is an understatement! No, even I'm not that cruel. I think if Harry were stuck upside down for two hours it might have resulted in brain damage and I could never do that to him. I do enough to the poor kid as it is. I'm very glad you like this, it's been writing me--literally! The next chapter's longer than the others and gets more into Severus's head and his past. And is more angsty and well, you'll see it when you read it.
Author's Response: it does, sometimes you get to a point and something says, okay stop it here and I usually follow that impulse. The next one's longer and posted. |
