Reviews For Broken Wings
Poor Harry!Hawk and his dreams. I love that he likes Snape so far. Hagrid is done well. Thanks so much for the update!! Author's Response: Yes, he does, question is, what will he do with the information? A part of him is reluctant to believe Sev and Hagrid's inferences, after all Harry is his poster child and heroes shouldn't get depressed and run off, right? Also Dumbledore refused to interact with Harry much in the fifth book at all, leaving him to pretty much deal with things, like awful Umbridge, on his own. I sort of reversed that here, and you'll see a time when Umbridge takes over. Harry's dreams are unpleasant, poor kid doesn't have much to be happy about, considering what happened to him. Severus's care towards Harry will go a long way towards changing his mind about his professor, you'll see that more in the next chapter I just posted. Glad you like my Hagrid, i was worried he might be too OOC.
HarryHawk will be better from SnapeSnuggles :] Author's Response: Aww! That's for sure! Who wouldn't be better from a hug from Sevvy? I'd be cured of this stupid virus instantly, LOL! Now you can see more with Sev and Harry in the next chapter.
Oh, well the prat deserves whatever he gets. Poor Harry! I don't know if I want to know what Sev's reaction will be when he finds out that the "bloody boy-who-lived" is actually his familiar! Author's Response: Yeah, I'm wondering that too! It'll probably be something nasty, knowing Lucy boy. Severus will be shocked and angry at first, but he'll get over it, once he sits down and thinks it through. He may have a fiery temper, but he also is a rational man. Check out the next chapter for further developments in their relationship.
Author's Response: Thanks, I will, and please keep reading!
And I loved the harry Sev bonding moment, especially when Harry bit Sev for calling him stupid. Author's Response: It will, one does hope! HEHEHE, I liked that part, Sev did deserve that nip!
Author's Response: Ohh, too cruel! But that's deserved. Actually, Severus told me he was going to deal with them this time, but if they stepped out of line again, he'd Portkey them over to you and give you permission to whatever you wanted to them, hahahaha! Hope you like the next bit!
Author's Response: Yes, it will. At this point, Harry is more hawk than human, which happened because of his amnesia, and Severus helping him only increases that bond. As to what will occur when Harry gets his real form back, which won't happen for quite some time yet, his memory will return first, you'll have to wait and see. I'm glad that trio will pay for what they did, especially young Mr. malfoy.
Dumbledore really is very self-centred in this, isn't he? Only seeing what he chooses to focus on and the things that are forced under his nose. Having said that, that is certainly something canon Dumbledore can be throughly accused of as well and it's interesting to read your spin on it - I'm curious about how Dumbledore will react to Harry when he finally reappears and vice versa. Snape and Harry-the-hawk's interaction was lovely and very cute! I'd love to see more of that! A potion of communication? Now that sounds interesting... I look forward to reading about it! Author's Response: Yes, Draco always seemed to me like the sort of person to try and weasel out of trouble by blaming it on others, look at what he did in Sorcerer's Stone with the dragon incident. But McGonagall wouldn't let him get away with it either, and neither will Severus. I figured the multi-layered punishment was needed, to reinforce their crime on different levels. As for Crabbe, Severus is smart enough to recognize genuine regret and if the boy hadn't come back to revive poor Harry, he might have died. Sev's a great actor, knows how to play his audience for amximum effect, which is what makes him such a good spy. As for Dumbledore, yes, I have played him rather close to canon, recalling that he left Harry virtually undefended in book five against Umbridge and Voldy after being thrown out. he could have at least made sure harry knew he supported him, but he didn't, not until Harry flips out after Sirius's death and only then does he tell him that he was sorry. When harry finally comes back, there will be one very surprised Headmaster, and one angry young wizard, among other things. You will, I've just finished the next part, I thought it'd be neat for them to be able to talk to each other.
Dumbledore's reaction says a lot about what the man thinks of Harry--just a tool. Wonder when Snape will figure that out that Harry is in the same boat. Author's Response: Got it in one! I was going to make it public, but nixed that idea, since Snape would be horribly embarrassed for everyone to learn that he'd been the victim of a theft from his own House. Yes, Dumbledore does think of Harry as a tool, one that he wishes to manipulate for his own agenda. But once Harry sees this, things will change. Snape will get a clue eventually, he's not dumb, just intentionally blind. Read the next chapter to find out how the potion works.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! Glad to hear it! |
