Reviews For Broken Wings
Thank you for the update! Fantastic story! Author's Response: Thanks! I wanted to show here that Severus does have some friends and allys among the staff besides Dumbledore. Harry can be very cheeky and being Freedom gives him the "freedom" to express himself in ways he wouldn't normally. Severus will be mending soon in the next chapter, and Freedom will as well. Next is Freedom's first flight!
I'm also enjoying your portrayal of Hagrid. I think you're showing his kind-heart in such a good manner. And yes, of course he would believe that a familiar would be some of the best medicine there is. Looking forward to reading more of your great tale. Author's Response: I like Poppy, I think JKR didn't give her enough a role to play when it came to Harry's health needs. Especially given the amount of danger he was put in. Most of the doctors I know would have raised holy hell if they had to keep patching up a kid as often as Harry. I wonder if bording schools require yearly physicals? I'm from the US and a yearly physical is mandatory until high school, and even then you need one for certain extra curricular activites, like sports. Since Harry plays Quidditch, I'd think he'd need one, but it was never brought up in canon. Anyway, my Poppy is a dragon when it comes to her patients, no matter how old they are, she wants to protect them, even from themselves. I really love Hagrid, he would make a great animal rehab guy or someone who runs a place for endangered species and stuff, I think that part was kind of missing in the books, I would have liked to see more done with magical creatures, like how wizards interact with them and use them to help them, besides just the owls and the kids' pets, I mean.
Author's Response: He is, and Severus will have enough time to learn a bit about Harry's former life and Harry will learn a bit more about everything before circumstances force him to change back into human form. |
