Harry is so cute, snuggling down in Snape's afghan...I liked his resolution to stay as Freesom until he feels better. Harry, as a teenager, has far too much weight on his shoulders, and I feel he could use the time he spends as a hawk to think about his life (maybe even try to deal with his abuse at the Dursleys'). I'm looking forward to the next chapter and the information Freedom learns from Dumbledore.
Author's Response: Isn't he though? I liked that image too! Yes, he does have too much pressure on him and it's slowly killing him. Being ahawk is saving his sanity and maybe once he can tell Severus the truth, he might be able to come to terms with some of his past.
I would like to know why Dumble didn’t do anything about Umbridge (one way Portkey to Artica, anyone?). Curious about Dumbledore’s secret. Update soon, pls. Mila
Author's Response: You'll find out here. My version of why, at least. We never did figure out why in canon. I've just updated so here you go!

Great chapter!!! Pooor Harry, now he's all confused and angry and there's not a lot he can do to resolve it as he is. What a mess! Great development! Love the conflict. Thanks for the update and I can't wait to see what Dumbledore's revelation is.
Author's Response: I know and Harry is going to get a lot worse as he discovers just what Dumbledore's been keeping from him all this time. Thanks and I've just posted the next one!

Great chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks! here's another for you!
Oh poor Freedom!! He's so confused!! And poor Snape. It's gonna be quite a shock.
I really liked how you portrayed Snape's hurt and Freedom's confusion. It makes it really clear how much the two of them have changed.
Author's Response: Definitely! And there are more rocky waters ahead for them after this new chapter. They have changed a lot, haven't they? And they'll change some more before this is all over.
I feel bad for Snape--he thinks there's something really wrong with his hawk friend and their is! I would feel awkward too if Snape was trying to pet my animagus form, lol. Really, there is no good way for Harry to change back; if he hides and changes, Sev will loose his familiar, if he changes in front of Sev, well...the s*** will hit the fan. Bad news indeed.
You're definitely milking this for all it's worth. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Author's Response: I know, poor Sev! he doesn;t know what to make of his familiar, it's like he's gone nuts. Little does he know . . .And it's hard for Harry too, trying to reconcile THIS new Snape with the old one. It's a difficult situation all around and yes, I'm milking it for every drop, LOL!
Yep, I knew that's what he'd want to do, Now all he has to "do" is reconcile the feelings "Freedom" has with those of "Harry" and I'd just bet that it's going to take talking things out with Sev to do it. All we need is one moment of short temper, or a good nightmare to throw freedom off of his guard and let something slip. If he does it as Freedom, Sev is less likely to kill him--as long as he doesn't wait TOO long.
More soon please! V.
Author's Response: Right, they both need a good long talk, but first Harry has to reveal that he's Freedom and that's going to take some doing, not to mention a pre-made bomb shelter for when Snape goes ballistic. I've just updated and now you can see Dumbledore's secret.
Great Chapter Keep it up!
Author's Response: Thanks, I will!
I am really loving this story :-) I had never really pictured Harry as a Hawk before, but actually I can see it. Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Thanks! I figured it made sense, since he's a natural flier and hawks are wickedly cool animals as well as being loyal and good friends, which Harry is.
