Reviews For Broken Wings
--his
Author's Response: Yes, the owls were great, weren't they? Yeah draco makes me want to do that to him too! Okay, hurry and read the next one!!
Draco is still unrepentent I see...still causing trouble for others. I think it sad that HArry now thinks so ill of his father and yet, he can forgive Severus for all his ill-treatment. James isn't alive to tell his side of the story and Severus is hardly an unbiased party, is he? And Harry doesn't find it a bit awful that Severus only laments Lily's death but is probably very glad that James also died at Voldemorts hands. Harry's list of people he previously cared for and now despises is growing at an alarming rate. I seem to be the only one worried about that though I see after looking at some of your other reviews. And also, DD is proven to be totally ineffectual again. It was Severus' idea to bring Firenze in to teach. How he has been headmaster for so long is a real mystery. Author's Response: Yes, and she really deserves all of it. Draco is now being encouraged to cause trouble by Umbridge as the head of her Inquisitorial Squad. No, Severus isn't unbiased, but Hagrid is and Hagrid agreed that James was a bully and nasty to Severus especially. Of course Harry would feel upset upon learning that, since he too was a victim of another bully--his cousin. And while he is upset at James, he doesn't despise him. He now sees him as an ordinary person--not a perfect hero. Because, that's how he was presented to harry by DD and Sirius and Remus--they totally overlooked how he hurt another person for years and as Sev says, it wasn't just him, others were hurt too by their so called pranks. In canon, Lily tells James that he goes around hexing people in the hallways and thinks he's all that because he plays Quidditch. She despises him because of his arrogance and willingness to hurt another person--"because he exists". The fact was that the Marauders were a bunch of bullies and as I said before, I hate people like that. So, I'm going to point that out over and over. And Harry knows that eventually James grew up, if he hadn't Lily wouldn;t have married him. And he became a decent person, but as a teenager he was awful. And no, Sev wasn't perfect either, but Harry sees the remorse from him and that seeing makes it easier for him to accept Severus's failings. Remember, Sev came back after two weeks as a DE, and yet was still despised by Sirius and possibly James as well. And neither of them ever expressed remorse for what they did to him in school, so he has no reason to feel fondly towards them. Plus, all this time as Severus's familiar has softened Harry towards the other. He knows Severus has spent his life atoning for following the dark Path, 14 years as a spy enduring Voldemort. But he still has some issues with him as well, for bringing te prophecy to Voldemort. Harry, at this point, only is upset and angry with Dumbledore and rightly so. He still counts Ron and Hermione as a friends and he still loves Sirius, but needs to discuss why he behaved the way he did at school, because that really bothers him. I thought it would be neat for McGonagall and Sev to team up and suggest that to Trelawney and DD. And DD defends her in canon, but doesn't seem to do much more than that afterwards. But at least here a reason is given why that's so. There never was one in the books and it puzzled me.
Ooh, I hope that Umbridge doesn't capture Harry/Freedom, and have toasted hawk for breakfast! (I meant figureatively!) Poor Trelawney, but I can't wait to see the pink monster deal with Firenze! Draco is such a spoiled prat. I wish Severus had come and caught him trying to hurt Freedom, he would have put the brat in his place. Another cliffie? Oh my! Well, that just means that you have to hurry up and update so we can find out what happens. Author's Response: Umbridge is soo nasty, she probably would enjoy that, and make Sev watch while she ate him . . .ughh . . .that's a really gross image . . .okay, I'm going to stop thinking about that right now. Firenze will be giving the toad palpatations, all right! Yes, Severus would have, all right! I should be updating sometime today, so keep an eye out! Thanks, Pandora!
Author's Response: Thanks, so glad you liked it1 I should be updating very soon!
Give it to her! This was great! Now please update, I need to know what happens! Author's Response: Okay I will soon! Thanks!
I enjoyed this chapter because it was very witty. I especially like when your Snape interacts with Trelawney and the revenge Freedom arranges with the other owls. Poor Umbridge--not! She deserves it, the wench! I really enjoyed reading about the birds torturing her! Good work! -P.G. Author's Response: Yes, that would NOT be a good thing! I thought it'd be funny for Severus to tell Sybill that, it seems like something he would say. And the birds will be torturing the toad some more in the next chapter. Mwahahaha!
Author's Response: I thought that was cool too! More shall be coming very soon!
:P Author's Response: Umm . . .you'll see. Thanks!
~Frosty Author's Response: Me too the hag deserves it soo much! Things will be coming to a head with Freedom and Severus soon! |
