Isn't it time for the overgrown teenager to grow up? I mean really.

Yeah, Sirius is being a real pain the ass. He needs to start thinking about what harry needs and wants and stop being selfish. He also needs to see what Severus said is true. Hope Remus can talk sense into the man. C'mon dog, wake up and smell the Veritaserum!

Author's Response: You're right1 Love it! Thanks for reading!

sirius needs to grow up, he is an adult now and should know better. i would rather have snape as a guardian than sirius as sev has the mental ability to know when he has done something wrong and say sorry, sirius hasn't the brain power to comprehend that he did something wrong

Author's Response: That's always been Sirius's biggest problem, he's a 16 year old trapped in a adult's body.  You can tell by the way he reacts to Severus in the books.  And yes, Severus is a better guardian because once he gets over his resentment of Harry, he then takes full responsibility for his wellbeing and loves him like his own son.

Sirius and Severus are both fairly possessive of Harry - that's a good recipe for conflict. And, you've taken Crabbe in an interesting direction. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with these issues. But (sigh) my kiddos just got home, so no more reading for me... Nice chap.

    Author's Response:

Aww too bad, but maybe you can read some more tonight or tomorrow!

That's true of both men and one of the reasons why they're fighting so bitterly.  The other reason is, of course, old wounds and past rivalries.

I like the interactions between Crabbe and Jace-- Crabbe gets more interesting and is a nice parallel figure to Harry. The arguement between Harry and Sirius was inevitable, but it worked well. Sirius seems unreasonable and adolecent, but not crazy. Snape really handled it well. I like that Remus is part of the dynamic-- having him as the voice of reason is a good way to help Sirius change without it seeming too pat.

Author's Response: I wanted to develop Crabbe some more in regards to his background and family and so forth and having him be a kind of "big brother" to shy Jace seemed like a good idea, to show that he's changed and is no longer Draco's shadow, bodyguard, or a bully.  Sirius is rather adolsecent, and it was kind of funny to make Harry the more mature of the two.  I like doing role reversals every once in awhile.  Severus did keep his cool, and a good thing too.  I figured Remus would be the only one Sirius would listen to.  He is, after all the last Marauder that Sirius trusts.

    WWWHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
    Go HArry!!!!
AWesome chapter! I loved the yelling!

    Author's Response:

Yeah, Harry told him just what he thought, no holds barred.

He really let off some steam there! But it was bound to happen, given Sirius's current attitude.

You know, I think this is my favourite chapter yet.

For some reason I absolutely despise Sirius Black in every other book save for The Prisoner of Azkaban. I certainly hated him in this chapter as well - but in a good way. He, like Ron, can be such an idiot when it comes to Slytherins. When's he going to realize that they are normal people like you and me? ::raises eyebrows questioningly::

My Internet is back! ::whoops for joy:: God, I love my Internet. I just about died without it.

::evil eyes:: You have an outline for my sequels? Excellent! So, here's the part where I start ranting at you to hurry up and FINISH Broken Wings so I can start READING MY SEQUELS!!! ::evil cackle::

I simply can't wait for more Wraith and Whisper and I wonder how you're going to present Philip...

Ok, ok. ::hands up in surrender:: I yeiled.

    Update soon, darling.

    Author's Response:

    Thanks!

yes Sirius and Ron share a good deal of the same prejudices towards Slytherins.  One wonders where Ron learned it though, since Molly and Arthur don;t seem the type to be prejudiced against Slytherins. Sirius hates Slytherins because he doesn;t want to be like some of his family, who are losers.

I know what you mean about dying without it.

es, i do have outlines and I am working hard on BW.

I'll discuss Phil with you more after BW is completed, i still have a few questions.

I should have the next cha[ter of this up tonight and then your Animagus question will FINALLY be answered!

Aw, I really hope that Sirius comes round. Maybe he just needs to calm down a bit and he'll finally see the light.

I also hope that Sirius and Snape can put aside their animosity and fight against Voldie.

    Author's Response:

Yes, he does need to calm down and have a long talk with Remus.

They will try, for Harry's sake if for nothing else.

Hope you like the next part.

Great little conversation between Harry, Crabbe, and Jace. Hope they stay friends and can't wait to see what they do to Malfoy. Make it a good prank!

The argument between Harry and Sirius was very well done, I could feel it all, and am glad Harry told Sirius the way he really feels. You go, boy!

Can't wait for the Order meeting. Thanks for writing!

Author's Response: Okay, I will. Thanks so much!

What a fight. I am surprised that Severus didn't tell Harry off for losing his control (I guess a still-hurting part in him was glad to see Freedom defending him so passionatelly). I am looking forward to reading about the Order meeting - update soon, please. Mila

    Author's Response:

Yes, that's so.  And Severus knows how hard it was for Harry to keep his temper with Sirius being his stubborn git self.

I just updated the next part.  Thanks!
