Reviews For Broken Wings
but it also feels like it's set in some strange parallel dimension where there are people with the same names as in canon, but are completely different people. The only one that feels close to being himself is Snape. Author's Response: Well, it is an AU universe, but I thought that Umbridge, Draco, Ron, Sirius, Lupin and Voldemort stayed pretty close to their canon counterparts. Dumbledore was well-meaning if maniplative just the way he's revealed to be in DH. Harry and Severus undergo a necessary transformation due to each discovering the other's pasts and bonding with each other. The only ones I really went out a limb with were Hagrid, because I don't like the way he's portrayed in the books as being a kind yet dimwitted individual--the stereotypical "giant" and it was the same with Crabbe, the "big dumb kid who hangs around the smart Malfoy". I felt that Mlafoy didn't really need them as friends, he was just using them, he always reminded me of a spoiled Mafia don's son. Trelawney is another that I felt needed a make-over, so i made her less ditzy and more like a real Seer such as Cassandra. Hopefully you enjoyed the story despite the differences, which were done to make it unique and to stand out from the dozens of other Harry-Snape mentor stories out there. Thank you for reading.
I'm going off to read the sequel! Author's Response: Thanks and you will see more of them in the sequel!
Im so glad that I read it, from the start with Freedom becomming Severus' familiar to all the lovely bonding as mentor/apprentice too, it was a very good read, im very much looking forward to the sequel :) Author's Response: Thanks so much! I loved writing this one and am glad you enjoyed it. The sequel Two Hawks Hunting, is posted now, so you can check it out. Leave me some good reviews, please!
Author's Response: Thanks and their relationship will improve, save for a few minor setbacks, in the sequel.
Author's Response: Thanks and hope you like the next one-Two Hawks Hunting.
Author's Response: Aww thanks and hope you enjoy the sequel so far!
ive been away due to finals then family matters, i'm back and catching up on the fiction i've missed! Lovely ending, now i'm off to read the sequel!! Author's Response: I understand and am so glad you finished this and will be continuing to read the sequel! Thank you for all your reviews!
it was a great fic, i'm so pleased sirius decided to grow up in the end, will malfoy snr get a magical eye like moodys, if he does it won't be good as he will use it for bad things. has malfoy somehow cured bellatrix from her guilt, why didn't snape add a poison to the drink instead of a sleeping charm. i would love to be a fly on the wall when dumbles confronts the dursleys, that would be a interesting convo good luck sev, harry and hedwig Author's Response: I know what that's like, believe me! You'll see what happens to Lucius in the sequel. I would never give him a magic eye . . .ugh! Eventually, that spell, unfortunately, will wear off. Well, Severus didn't want to get charged for murder and I need Lucius around for book two. Just wait and see, that part's coming in the sequel.
I'm so happy Sev could bring Sirius back! And Bellatrix got hers too, the evil bitch. Harry must be thrilled not only to have his godfather back, but by the unexpected truce between Sirius and Sev. They’re still snippy with each other (as expected), but I'm still pleased right now ^_^ Malfoy's comeuppance rocked! The team was brilliant and all deserved a hand in the prat’s embarrassment. When it all played out I just about laughed my butt off, especially when McGonagall showed up! It was great and seems Sev agrees ;) Best of luck to Harry and Sev in destroying those horcruxes! I'll check out ‘Return to Prince Manor’ next, asap! Author's Response: I know how that goes, believe me. Yes, Sev and Sirius have a truce of tolerance for Harry's sake, and now Sirius owes Sev a life debt too! I so enjoyed that prank and cracked up writing it several times, especially with mcgonagall involved, LOL! I kept thinking of my gran for some reason . . .she would have been speechless! Severus agrees very much! Yeah I have the new sequels to both Prince Manor and the sequel to this as well, Two Hawks Hunting! Enjoy and thanks as always!
Author's Response: Yes, it is! I think this is another one that's going to write itself. I'm already working on the next chapter. Well, Warrior is right about Fawkes, LOL! |
