Reviews For Lily's Charm: Legacy
And the flashbacks to the days of Lily were lovely. I admit I'm a huge Snape/Lily shipper (tragic as they are in canon) and it was nice seeing happy moments for them, along with Baby Harry, in this fic. I loved that they were married and the whole back story surrounding that. I also adored your James, which is saying something because more often then not I'm not a fan of the character. You put him to good use here and some of his scenes with Harry and Severus were favs of mine. Poor Sirius... I have to say that I cried over his death more here then in the book. You are very good at drawing your reader into the characters emotions (if you get me). Actually, I cried a lot during the reading of this fic. A lot of those scenes dealing with the abuse that Harry and Snape dealt with growing up, along with the guilt Snape felt for not being their for his family was very very moving. Well done. Also, I liked Harry wanting to claim the last name Snape (he tends not to in this sort of fics). And it was nice to see a fic where Ron and/or Hermione don't speak to Harry for a month after finding out Snape is his Dad, lol. I'm not the biggest Draco fan, but I admit that I was feeling kind of bad for the guy towards the end there (even after all he had done). Trying so hard to befriend Harry and always falling short. Most importantly, I really enjoyed the development of Harry and Snape's relationship. Harry felt like a teen! And as the story went on felt more and more like a dad. It was nice to read. I do hope that you write those vignettes you mentioned. I'd love to see how you envision their future. Also, in the first part you mentioned art a lot in the notes. Is any of it still around? Very nice chapter. It feels like you're ending it abruptly, but I read on your group that it hadn't quite turned out how you'd planned. That's okay; it happens to everyone. I'm glad that you are ending on a happy note and that everyone has made up. Lol, Ron actually listened to reason for once; he must have grown up! I look forward to the vignette epilogue. I'm fairly certain you will be including the scene Cathy drew way back with Sev, Harry, and baby grandchild, and I greatly look forward to reading that portion of the fic (you know how I am with the baby moments). I'm looking forward to the last installment (and frowning that something I've been reading for this long is ending)! -P.G. |
