Reviews For A Day to Remember
Author's Response: Thanks so much! :)
Author's Response: Yes! He certainly does, and he's as manipulative as hell!
I love how Dumbledore convinced to Snape to participate. Neville's reaction was exactly what I imagined it would be. On to the next chapter! Author's Response: Oh hi! Thank you. Yes Dumbledore is very persuasive, and guilt works very well! Yeah, Neville is feeling rather left out.
Author's Response: Yeah, Dumbles is quite manipulative, isn't he? But in a good way! Thanks!
Author's Response: Oh, thank you. It's very easy to portray Dumbledore as being manipulative, which he is, but he's also caring and well-meaning, and he does care about Harry and Severus. Yeah, poor Neville. Imagine him being jealous over Snape, of all people!
Dumbles sure is sneaky! Reading on . . . Author's Response: Thanks. I think that Harry is just preoccupied right now, with his own stubborness and his own problems. I like portraying Neville as having a bit of backbone. I think that he's an underdevelopped character, and I think that he sees a lot more than his friends think he does. Harry is understandably focused on Severus' bad treatment of him for the past few years, so he can't appreciate the gift he's been given. Severus may be cranky, but at least he's not abusive like the Dursleys!.
Yeah, DD is sneaky, but he really does care about our boys.
Oh, I see that you've updated too. Great! I'm going to read YOUR story. :)
I think your Dumbledore is the meanest I've ever seen, lol. He was downright nasty with Severus earlier. I'm a bit surprised that Snape gave in as quickly as he did when Dumbledore mentioned Lily because I imagine that he would know he was being manipulated by the old man. However, Lily always has been a motivating factor for him. I look forward to seeing exactly what kind of chaos occurs during Father/Son Day. Nice work! -P.G. Author's Response: Thank you PG. Hee hee, I love a maniupulative Dumbledore. Yeah, it was mean of him to use the "Lily" card, but his motivations were not really malicious. He wanted Harry and Severus to be happy.
Dumbledore is perfect, his usual manipulative but well-meaning self. He does have a good heart and I certainly hope that his scheming will work out well for Harry and Severus. I loved how you had Dumbledore check on Harry and immediately remove him once he knew of the Dursley abuse, too. It was just brilliant how he got both Sev and Harry to agree to participate, and I'm so excited to read the next part. Both Severus and Harry need a family and I'm looking forward to their adventures with the father/son contest. Author's Response: Oh thank you. You are good for the ego Kristeh, even if I think that perhaps you're exaggerating! :)
Yes, Dumbiedore is very manipulating, isn't he? He does have their best interests at heart though. I don't know why I thought of Neville's reaction to this whole thing, but I just did. He's always a minor character and we never really delve into his feelings or thoughts, and after his heroics in the last book, I just really wanted to explore his character further. I also thought that since Remus is a gentle soul, that he would be a perfect match for Neville, and that Neville would benefit from having a male role model in his life. |
