Reviews For Suffering
Don't know if I will be able to keep reading because I see even more misery on the horizon, what with the story being called 'Suffering' and all. Doesn't sound as if there is a chance of a reprieve for poor HArry. Hasn't the poor guy suffered enough? You must have depressed yourself writing this chapter. I so hope it gets a bit happier. Very well written, though, PG. The subject matter is the problem for me. Still, I will see what chapter 2 is like. Lesley~ Author's Response: Hi Lesley, thanks for reading! I'm glad you were able to hang in there and read the five chapters I've gotten out. I'm sorry if made you depressed with it; it is a hard topic to write, and really, Harry has suffered enough in his life. However, this was my topic for the Challenge Fest and I wanted to make the most out of it. I personally, as the author, see it more as a mystery than a tragedy, but that's because I've spent most of my time thinking about when I want to be sneaky in the text. It really is a tragedy though, but I hope you can find some sort of enjoyment in it nonetheless. -P.G.
I like how you describe the other patients there, I've been in many a nursing home and some of the patients there were like this--it was very realistic. Author's Response: Thanks for the nice compliments--I'm glad you found the nursing home realistic. I spent a lot of time in one for a few years while my great grandparents were there, so I have a pretty good idea about what goes on. Al is a healer of sorts here in this story, though I've coined him a nurse and not a Mediwizard for a reason (maybe I should have used the word Healer for him...I'll have to think about that). Anyways, I'm not going to say much more because I don't want to give away my plot here, but thank you so much for reading! -P.G.
Oh poor Harry. I'm guessing that it's Snape in that room? Oh, how awful. Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the DeathEater is . I can't wait to read the next chapter, and I'm glad that despite it not being finished, that we have the honour to read your story. Author's Response: Thanks Pandora--your reviews always make me feel so good. :D I'm not going to say much about the story because I don't want to give anything away, but I'm glad you're reading it! -P.G. |
